Been supporting this guy since his arrival but it is woefully apparent we need someone who shows some offensive imagination.
The good thing about Napier is that most of the time you know by halftime we’ll lose so you can take care of other things
What needs to be done, should be sooner than later. No progress, no offensive imagination. Defense marginal. Good person, but not an SEC caliber coach.
He called a very predictable game... he thought he could just wing it. That is his problem, he's too predictable at play calling. Why did we wait until the end of the game to bring in the slant pass? Miami blitzed and still Napier called dog-azzed slow developing plays all game long. Someone said the TE's coach called the slant plays at the end of the game. Maybe that's true... maybe he should be calling the plays moving forward.
Predictable and the process doesn’t work, the fact we still have to call time out after a tv timeout because we don’t have a play or whatever is just ridiculous that’s high school and a rookie mistake
If Napier goes, I'm not sure I trust Stricklin being in charge of finding his replacement, especially negotiating any buyout clauses.
Im frankly baffled at the complete lack of growth, improvement, or ....anything indicative of all that play time experience among the team. SOSDD/S/Y... @$%#& Groundhog day...
My guess is our AD will begin looking at coaches and whatever date we have lost 7 games BN will be fired. The noise will be too great and bull Gators need to be looking at a new AD. To rush and make BN the coach with such a lucrative contract is bonkers.
UF has become the new Vanderbilt. I think we need a new athletic director before turning the program around. Gonna be a long season——
One more thing, Arlis is NOT a blocking tight end, and was useless as a blocker... he could not help Napier's pet project at right tackle. If we're going to use the tight ends as blockers, in a 12 personnel, then you may as well just add another O-lineman. We might as well substitute a real offensive lineman for one of the two tight ends... Why let a tight-end block when you can have another O-lineman doing just that? That makes ZERO SENSE TO ME.
Okay, I'll ask you. How do you know this? I muted the game by the fourth quarter, so I may have missed that being said out loud...
UF doesn’t have a president. Fuchs doesn’t want to be the guy who fires Stricklin and doesn’t feel it’s appropriate to lead a search for a replacement AD, he feels that should be the next president’s job. Doesn’t really matter if Stricklin wants to fire Billy or not, the money isn’t there. The boosters of substance don’t want to pay the buyouts and don’t like what CFB has become with the NIL etc. It’s a mess. So I think you’re right, he’ll at least start next season as the head coach, barring certain mega-donors changing their mind.
