Lagway MIGHT get us to 4,3 or 2. Calling a voodoo priestess to put stuff in teams water to hedge bets
Failure of mine in context. I didn’t see what you were “optimistic” about and thought you meant the season. Yes, four wins is the new “optimistic” at this point.
I know it was the 1st game but with the insight of the last 2 years I’ll say low of 3 and a high of 6
There was a scenario before today where UF could lose today and get to 5 wins: Samford, UCF, MSU, UK were seen as very winnable games, then 1 win somewhere else (FSU looks very beatable, maybe A&M or LSU at home). But we were so out-classed today, I agree that scenario is far less realistic.
1-4 wins. Zero possible. More with DJ at the helm and/or with a coaching change. And reduce the football staff from 350 to 75. Use the money for NIL.
No less than 3 wins on the schedule if this is who we are. But if this is who we are, I have a hard time seeing more than 3 wins on the schedule. I was super pumped about our season on Wednesday. Heard an interview with Doering and he was saying all kinds of good things about what he had been seeing and hearing from the team. Not nearly as pumped now as I was then.
As of now, 4-8. We will beat Samford and MSU. We will split aTm and Kentucky. I will not even imagine a scenario where we lose at home to UCF as Billy would need to be escorted out of town and placed in protective custody. We will go 0-6 vs UT, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, UGA, and F$U.
2-10 or 3-9. Coaching is bad. LOS is awful. No consistent game-changers on offense. And still no pass rushers on D. Maybe there are some on the bench, but they never play. I'm done with Billy and Co and Stricklin should have been gone yesterday.
A&M's defense is better than Miami's, not sure how UF can score enough points to win that game. So have to beat UK, Samford, MSU, and UCF to get to 4-8.
To be honest, this was probably the correct answer BEFORE the scUM game. 4-8, or 5-7, with the assumption that we could steal a game somewhere since we were "expected" to lose all those tough ones. I'm still surprised anyone would have predicted much, if at all higher than this. 6-6 for this year for the true homers.
