A quote that keeps rattling around in my head was by Urban Meyer when he said the number one thing I did when he took a head coaching job was hire an experienced defensive coordinator.

 

If we win 3 or 4 games he’s gone. If he’s not the apathy would be absolutely enormous. He’d need a 9-10 win season to save himself.

It really boils down to recruiting full stop. You want to win you gotta get down and dirty recruiting. UGA and KS are full in on win recruiting at all costs.
