Mertz has been off because our receivers are not getting any separation.

 

And Miami is getting pretty quick pressure with a 4-man rush.

 

If we don't exploit that offensively in the next drive, there is a huge problem.

Better mods?

 

Time to load the box and bring pressure every play on defense and put Mizelle and the fastest RB in on offense. Running up the middle isn't gonna work

It should be at best 3-3 but that bad late hit call. Or maybe 3-0 and those non called PIs.

 

I think Mertz can pick them apart. We ain’t at the point where we can dominate the LOS so the run game will have a be there, but not the focus.

 

Absolute refusal to do it. This guy is so good off the field- but he’s not a guy who can call plays or get the team hyped. I’m not sure what his “signature” is

 

You're the first of many...waiting on the rest of you to ramp up. Hopefully they will call UM for at least one penalty before the game is already decided in the last minutes of the game.

 

Maybe with our routes it’s easy to stay with our receivers.

 

Most OCs would, but we are passive. We definitely don't attack with the pass. It's the only thing our offense is consistent at with Napier.

Yeah, you tell tell we have the same play caller that we've had the last couple of years. No creativity at all.

 

We have no edge containment on defense

 

Pedestrian is the word. Frankly, I feel worse about the play calling than I do the OL, which is obviously still a work in progress - particularly the run blocking.
