Best thing about Miami is that it is in the great state of Florida. (and as long as they behave, we will let it stay )

It’s ironic how many of my friends are boat captains while our parents in the 70’s and 80’s thought we were wasting our days away fishing. It’s the predominant profession of my childhood friends.
I had a friend I met my freshman year at UF who was from there, RIP Chuck. I dated a woman who was from there for a while. She drove a Corvette. She liked good whiskey. She was an attorney and fixed a speeding ticket for me. She was fun. I liked her. That’s about all I got.
I bought my first Porsche from a seller in Miami from a classified in the Auto Trader back in '98. It was an '81 911SC Targa, white on black. I paid $10.5K. My buddy "Big Dave" drove me down there and I drove the 911 back without any issues. Not long afterwards though, it experienced a few of the dreaded snapped cylinder head studs, so did an engine pull and had the engine rebuilt. Other than that it was a pretty good car that I even tracked at several race tracks.
