Maybe so but they represent a very small percentage of Black women who will be voting in November. In fact, Trump may have managed to flip white women who still cast a majority of their votes for him in 2016 and 2020 to the Dems thanks to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. According to recent polls the gender gap has now become the equivalent of a gender Grand Canyon.

 

Maybe the bill doesn’t “abolish” private ins but it essentially makes it go away for all intents and purposes.

Her voting record is typical for a democrat. The site that called her far left was because she didn’t sponsor many bipartisan bills. She instead worked on universal healthcare. That’s basically the whole analysis.

The US has ÷130 desalination.plants (not 1900). They will have to be powered with nuclear power. The rehion.of Africa that has supplied us with uranium wants the US and France to leave Africa (thanks neocons). Russia is moving in to electrify central and West Africa with nuclear power

More people in our country means more plastics pollution and other pollutants that cause cancer and have estrogen-like effects (shrinking genitalis,l.

From 1942 through 1964, The Bracero Program brought in, legally, more than 4.5 million Mexicans into the US. After this program ended, the status at the border was let workers through, as their labor was needed. This dismayed the likes of persons like Cesar Chavez, who was worried new immigrants would take the jobs of the Braceros and their children, who were again, here legally and/or born US citizens. Chavez however, was wrong. The Bracero children were educated in US schools and flourished, and became middle class, never working the fields like their parents.

Reagan in 1986 also granted amnesty to many previously undocumented immigrants. Listen to Reagan or Bush Sr. speak about these immigrants back in the day. They weren't criminal thugs. They were hard working people here seeking the American dream, and we should grant them the ability to pursue it.

We have over 1700 desalination plants in the US, but currently, only about 200 are in use. A big part of the issue is desal water is more expensive. But much like the oil shale in the Permian Basin was too expensive to mine for in the 1980s, rising prices of other oil sources plus better tech meant the Basin was going to be mined for oil eventually. Today, the Basin accounts for about 45% of our oil. One day, we'll have better tech and higher water prices for non desal water that will make desal water more palatable.

As for food, we produce plenty already. And if people are starving in C. America, but we have plenty, guess what is going to happen? These people are going to come to America. It's what's been happening for generations. And regardless, whether or not these people remain in their home country or come here, they still need to eat.

Bottom line is we need a better program to better legally fill demand of needed labor with supply. Twice bipartisan committees recommended this kind of program.

As for environmental concerns, unless you plan to build a dome around the US and put armed guards around the entire country, what happens to our neighbors effects us.
