Apparently neither you nor the author of the hit piece were aware or in the case of the author probably chose to ignore the fact that the Speaker of the House does not have the authority to activate the DC National Guard and unlike the 50 state governors not even the mayor of DC has that authority, it lies with the President and the Secretary of Defense and by the way several weeks ago I saw the segment of the video in which Pelosi either stated or implied that she contacted the appropriate authorities to activate the guard and her request was ignored.
Nancy should be crucified for: contriving the election was stolen, spending months after the election—multiple times throughout every day— telling all of her followers that their votes didn’t count because the election was stolen, riling up a group of supporters that were led to believe democracy has failed—again, ALL BASED ON A LIE, contriving if a plot to literally stall the formality of confirming the election by having the VP refuse to confirm the electoral vote, screaming on Twitter for her followers to come to DC from all over the Country, on the date of the electorate confirmation, so that they could right a wrong, and in January 6, rouse the crowd of people falsely led to believe they had been disenfranchised so that they marched in the Capitol. Nancy should be ashamed. Oh wait …

Ok sure, but at one point he did say peacefully which apparently completely negates all of this if I'm to believe some people on this board.
What irks me is how some people focus solely on the moments the Capitol was breached, forgetting the months of lies and anger-fomenting rhetoric that caused it to happen.
If Trump really meant "peacefully," why did he want medal detectors taken down in that march, knowing that some of that mob could have arms. "They're not going to hurt me," he said. (As I recall, that's according to the sworn testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson.)
Nancy Pelosi is a piece of crap. I had forgotten she immediately called for the firing of Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund and also pushed for the resignation of her House Sergeant-at-Arms on January 7. Hmmm, didn’t Sund request National Guard support several days earlier but was denied by Pelosi’s Sergeant-at-Arms due to “bad optics”? The idiots who stormed the Capitol have been rightly punished. Trump has faced charges also but where is the backlash for how Pelosi mishandled the whole situation?
Have you watched the videos - not just the ones played by MSM? Have you spoken with the whistleblowers, officers on duty, eyewitnesses, etc.? Have you reviewed the documents and responses filed in the various lawsuits arising from Jan 6? Until then, you run the risk of becoming an echo chamber of your preferred narrative/party position. You're entitled to your opinions but your opinions will be better received if you are cautious about being so sanctimonious.
