Stetson Bennett. 4 int in 2 games against some of the worst defenses we have ever fielded. I don't consider that kind of play even mediocre. They weren't receiver problems like 2 of Mertz this year.

 

Imagine Trask playing with that Oline and that defense..... Bennett would never have left the bench if he played for 95% of other teams

Like I have been saying, people here are always crediting the players too much, when the coaching is what really matters in college football. If you have good coaches, then you can have a good defense. Now, talent matters and I want all the talent we can get, but it's no guarantee of success without the right coaches.

Having said that, I think we have both talent and coaching on the defensive side of the ball.
