I don't understand the ranking of fsu. They have 8 returning starters. Four on Off and four on Def.

It is because they gave Georgia such a beating last year in their bowl game.

I remember sitting next to this 400 pound FSU fan in 2016 who would stand up, spread ass cheeks, laugh and fart in front of everyone nearly all game...it wasn't until I told her husband she needs to sit down did anyone have peace or fresh air.

Nah...they needed every ACC officiating call and balls bouncing just right to barely barely escape several should be losses last year with that very QB playing. They had no teams of top 20 quality on their schedule all year and when they got a chance to face their first decent team all year got jackhammered into oblivion in epic fashion. Don't kid yourself either Georgia had far more talented players sit out that game too. Hell even our sorry ass team nearly beat them last year....At least the Nolies aren't complaining about people stealing their signals as an excuse anymore.

They're (Their or there for you FSU grads) going to forget about the 60 point beat down quickly after beating mighty Georgia Tech and their protractors today...Surely the Georgia Tech tomato cans will be one of the toughest matchups on their schedule this year. On our schedule they would be one of the easiest but hey that's life in the ACC for you.

I noticed the ACC Commissioner kept referring to SWAC as “undefeated” last season. Do they have a different definition of that than the rest of us? I mean, if everyone gets to decides what losses “count” and which ones don’t, can’t everyone be undefeated?

I agree Skink. I’ve never liked that. So tacky it sounds like a Nole chant.

Their schedule isn’t exactly daunting. Only have to win a couple or three moderately tough games to go through the regular season undefeated. ACC officials will help with the close games.
But I agree with you eastwest. Ranking them so high, especially after the debacle of a bowl game against a certified top10 team, is a head scratcher. Maybe the pollsters are afraid of a lawsuit if they don’t give the Criminoles a lofty ranking.
I will add that I’m aware that FSU played Georgia with lots of opt outs and missing their QB. But Georgia wasn’t at 100% either and as I recall Kirby called off the dogs,(pun intended), in the second half and still continued to administer the beat down FSU so richly deserved.

Back then......it was a great place to live.

It was my first home. Country Club Estates. This was back in '93 when I was in my 30's. Then 2 years later in '95, I re-located back to the East Coast with a lateral transfer with the company I worked for to where I live now to be closer to my folks and where I could surf. I loved my home in Lehigh Acres. I would have stayed except for the lack of waves on the Gulf Coast. I moved to the Gulf Coast initially for a work opportunity (Naples) and it really paid off.

My home in LA was a fairly large 3 Br, 2 Bath split plan with 3 sets of pocket patio doors that opened up to a screened in tiled lanai in back. I was surrounded by woods except on one side. Dead end road. I was into cycling then and had a carbon fiber Trek road bike I would ride almost daily after work - practically zero traffic on those back roads of LA. It was fantastic! I was a bachelor, so had Ft Myers for social activities. Tears For Fears and Huey Lewis and the News are 2 concerts I attended that were fantastic while living there. Several hawt girlfriends. The company I worked for manufactured a high quality fertilizer product and we got the contract for the 2 sports fields there when they were built - spring training facilities one for the Twins and another for the Red Sox. TONS of business in that area....so work & my job was fantastic.

Fishing and boating in the area was unreal. I bought my 19' Mako center console and would put in at Alva and go through the locks to the Gulf.

Now I live 2 blocks from the Atlantic and 1 block from the ICW, so it worked out great with my re-location but those years I spent at my Lehigh Acres home will always be special for me.

They just did it again when interviewing the new SWAC QB. Something along the lines of “You’re joining a team that went 13-0 last year.” No qualifier. Unbelievable.

Ignoring the bowl game beat down is pathetic, but that's what fsu is from top to bottom, pathetic.

It will be interesting to see how FSU does without their offensive coordinator.

Hopefully as well as we’ve done without one the last two years. ;)
