What we know AS FACT (based on Trump’s own records) is that he made up the election fraud claims from whole cloth. Those lies led to distrust in the entire fabric of our democratic system. That distrust led to an attempt by an incited crowd to stop our time-honored transfer of power on January 6.

All of this was conceived and executed by Trump.

Now he wants to have a banquet to honor those who followed his lies and are rightfully called to justice.

And the entire GOP is cool with this?!?!?!?!

One of Trump’s advisors is on CNN and was just asked about this. Was towing the Company line perfectly before the host said was Trump advised to do this.

Poor dude just said “Noooooo. We strongly advised Trump not to and to stop bringing up anything related to Jan 6th or election denialism.”

Have never heard of this dude before, but bet he fired tomorrow.

 

Many of the Jan6 convicted insurrectionists are on federal probation.

This is a standard condition for EVERYONE on federal supervision:
"8. You must not communicate or interact with someone you know is engaged in criminal activity. If you know someone has been convicted of a felony, you must not knowingly communicate or interact with that person without first getting the permission of the probation officer."

The insurrectionists on active supervision will have to get permission from their probation officers before they can communicate or interact with Trump or anyone else there convicted of a felony.

Edit: There are compelling reasons for the probation officers to not allow this. It is not in the best interests of justice to have insurrectionists associating with other insurrectionists. Additionally, if I was a P.O., I would not allow one of my probationers to go to an event where any criminal behavior, much less their own, was to be celebrated.

 

It all goes back to Hillary saying Putin election was rigged. Putin vowed to undermine US confidence in our elections and he succeeded beyond his wildest dreams. Djt was just a tool to help accomplish that goal
