We learn from our mistakes often more than our successes. Walz' DUI was a mistake. Since then, he's own up to it and Walz' own words, the DUI was a "gut check moment," and he's recommitted himself to being a role model to his students and later his kids. Walz has been sober since the DUI. Nobody is perfect. We all mistakes. The smart people own their gaffs, apologize, and learn. Others do nothing but whine about the entire world is out to get them and play the victim.
Right. He already said he couldn't vote dumbass but says he will vote for Trump. According to Trump, o&b is a basement dweller.
Can we leave a certain Fiesta Bowl out of this? ...And the 2008 and 2020 World Series. ...And the 2015 and 2022 Stanley Cup Finals.
A DUI is a stupid, terrible mistake. But how you respond to it is more important, and you can’t claim Walz’s single mistake set a bad example as he used the incident to stop drinking. Let’s make this about both George W. Bush and Walz. Both had DUI’s decades before they ran, both have been sober for years and have used their mistake to set an excellent example. Look at W’s autobiography “Decision Points”. The first chapter is called “Quitting”. Not my place to label either as an alcoholic, but just read that chapter if you have any doubts about W’s inability to cut down on his daily drinking. The chapter concludes with “Quitting drinking was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made, but without it none of the others in this book would be possible.” 10.5% of the us population over the age of 12 had alcohol use disorder in the past year (Google it 100s of studies right in that range). I’d strongly argue that seeing a President or Vice President struggle with a very common problem, permanently beat it and then have the courage to discuss sobriety is more of a help and inspiration to the millions affected by the disease/issue than their one DUI in the seventies and nineties.
ummm, have you examined trump’s interactions with law enforcement- the felony convictions, having to shut down his “university” and pay fines for his fraud, disband and agree not to ever sit on a charity ‘s board, snd oh yeah, the 2 impeachments and more trials just waiting for him?
So is rape and insurrection. If a young person is talking to Walz looks decades back at the DUI, I would be surprised but it is something that is there and needs to be addressed. If a young person is talking to trump, there is a decent chance they are about to be molested, especially if it is at a teen beauty pageant.
It’s pointless to interact if all we’re gonna hear is but Trump. Half of the shit against him is the libbies overplaying their hand. Trump sucks ass but we were discussing a different politician no? It’s like my children. You debate like them…”but she didn’t have to do that. It’s not fair.” lol. Just keep butt sniffing the libbies and watch your money go down the drain. It’s all good.
I’m here, but I stopped consuming political content years ago. The last convention speech I watched was Obama 08. It’s a waste of time.
When you expect nothing you are never disappointed. I expect good things from the others. The Fins...not so much.
Please note the felon's effort to assist other felons at his exclusive golf club : " A non-profit that supports Jan. 6 riot defendants is hosting a fundraiser next month at former President Trump's New Jersey golf club. The big picture: Organizers dubbed the event as the "J6 Awards Gala," with a flyer that prominently features a photo of Trump and his former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, saying they're invited guest speakers."
