I'd vote for Navy's dog over Trump also. Or my dog. Or one of the stools they leave on the grass to be bagged up in good neighborly fashion.

Because if we had President Stool, the advisors would take over. From 2016-2020 we had President Stool who wouldn't listen to his advisors. I'm even old enough to remember how 100s of thousands of unnecessary covid deaths happened because that POS repeatedly lied to the public about it's severity, in order to bolster his election prospects.

Great point. It's always wise to consider the source. Everyone brightens a room - some when they enter, others when they leave.

    Interesting choices:
    • "Believe people when they show you who they are."

    • Or, "Brush off what people say to protect your cognitive dissonance."

Agree. Although “Idiot” is way too much, lots of other candidates I would vote for before Harris. Including some Repubs. ie Haley. But I’m absolutely voting for Harris primarily because it’s against Trump.

    Great rant. I'll vote against:
    Rampant illegal immigration
    Economic policies fueling inflation
    Proposed price controls
    Waffling on support of Israel
    Another Russian invasion
Grown males competing vs. females in athletic competition
    Defund the police
    Decriminalizing crime
    DEI policies

    Ergo, I vote for Trump.
Don't "love" him. Don't worship him. Just like the other side less. And, tired of being called names like Jr High School because folks cannot muster a conversation with whom they disagree. MAGAT, anyone? Bootlicker? Oh, so scary. Further, it becomes obvious when the Left tries to belittle and ridicule that they've got nothing other than "orange man bad."

I honestly think that it's a small % of pubs who adore Trumph. The rest are clinging to a sinking ship while holding their collective noses and waiting/praying for the end to come soon. Several jumped years ago, as they were willing enough to open their minds and accept the truth that he's a disgusting human being.

Calls highly accomplished professional an idiot; runs on for three sentences in one. Efficiency!
Suggestion: If your grammar is going to suck, lean on colloquialism.

    If you're voting against:
    • Rampant illegal immigration - How could you vote for the candidate who personally blocked the enactment of the strictest border security bill in decades, one endorsed by the head of the union representing Border Patrol Agents.
    • Economic policies fueling inflation - How could you vote for a candidate who proposed across the board tariffs that would raise prices on every household in America.
    • No candidate proposed that the government set prices
    • If you're concerned about the Russian invasion how can you vote for a candidate who praised the Russian leader behind the invasion and will ensure that success of the invasion by ending aid to Ukraine.
    • As far as transgender athletes competing against women is concerned that issue should be handled by the bodies governing the athletic competition not the government. Apparently you favor government interference in those decisions.
    • None of the presidential candidates has proposed defunding the police.
    • One of the candidates has put hundreds of criminals behind bars while the other has committed crimes himself and has indicated that he will pardon individuals who have attacked law enforcement officers referring to those currently incarcerated as "hostages".

CF - I appreciate your response believe it or not. I am actually a person that believes the (former) balance between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party was a good thing. Any fool, with half a brain SHOULD NOT condem EVERY policy platform of either party. Bipartisanship must work at some level or the two party system becomes useless.

    Where we agree:
    Rampant illegal immigration
    - Many aspects here, but in particular, I do not think the GOP is unresonable or wrong in asking for requiring "limits",
    proper processing and identification.
Economic policies fueling inflation - Who likes inflation other than the sellers or profitiers? I buy groceries too. No doubt we could argue over policy but IMO the two party system and the system of checks and balances have served the American people well generally speaking.
Waffling on support of Israel - I am not a foreign policy expert, but the Biden administration has an aid package going to Israel with Bi-Partisan support.
I think Democrats in elected offices strongly support Israel as do the GOP. Looking at it through the lens of (The Squad) is unresonable IMO, they are what? 4 people, three of whom won't even be around next cycle. I think Republicans, via right wing media manipulation, look at college kids and protests, and pro-palestinian protests, as representing "Democratic Views" on the conflict. I find this ridiculous, while their may be a slightly larger % of American
registered democrats that have sympathy to the Palestinian plight, I think that %, when it comes right down to it, support the Israeli right to exist, Israeli aid, and
the strong relationship between the two countries. Myself, the choice is clear, the US is a hugely Judeo/Christian influenced society. While I myself am not religous,
I find Islamic Culture and Islamic Gov'ts run by clerics, to be the stuff of LUNATICS. I also see it as a choice between US and THEM. Case closed for me.
Grown males competing vs. females in athletic competition - Case closed, GOP wins hands down, this crap is insane and unfair to the female sex.
DEI policies - Agree again, perhaps not to your level, I think it is prudent to help minorities, the handicapped or the dis-advantaged, but having American Entities,
whether in the Free Market, Education, or Gov't sphere being "strong armed" into job or career placements, is ultimately counter productive.

    Confused?
    Another Russian invasion -
Not sure what you mean? If you are referring to the Ukranian invasion of Kursk, we have a significant divide on this issue. Russia has demolished 20% of Ukraine and for me, they have every right to defend themselves and I fully support American and NATO aid to them.

Finally - I am NOT anti GOP if we are talking about the party pre Trump and MAGA. I do think the party has been hijacked by the worst kind of "populist".
Hopefully the party comes back to it's senses. I would HAPPILY vote for someone like a MCCain or Romney. TRUMP - NEVER!

Only binary-minded people believes everyone must be in one of two tribes. I find binary-minded people lack the capacity to handle complex thinking and often curl up into ball when confronted with a diversity of political opinions. Wouldn't you agree?
