Is redshirt junior running back Ja’Kobi Jackson in for a breakout year? 2006 Florida Gators National Champion Steven Harris thinks so.

“Ja’Kobi Jackon looks like an every down back,” Harris said on a podcast with Hightop Sports. “When I saw him today, the way he moves, the way he runs, I said he reminds me of Frank Gore.”

All I hear and read is good about Ja'Kobi Jackson... An all down back that does his job well and never complains about anything. I hear he has some quicks and speed which can come in handy. We need more backs with House-call potential. He seems to be one of them.

So, we have kind of a backlog when Montrell Johnson when he gets back to full speed. And Treyoun Webb ahead of him... Baugh looking to play... And we have two others that can play running back. That's 6 very good running backs, which is the deepest room of backs I can remember, on one Gator team.

    Johnson
    Webb
    Jackson
    Baugh
    Carroll
    Daniels

That's one of the best running back rooms in the nation.

And if Johnson is out for a game or two, it really opens the door for another guy to get some snaps and show what he can do

In my lifetime, I’d like to see a UF back be in Heisman Trophy contention.

I've been waiting for that since Emmitt Smith.

Who do you think is our best back right now?
