Yup see the link one post up. They slandered an award winning journalist and brought up a story from 35 years ago to attack his character despite his 35 years of journalism that followed. The program is a machine that won't tolerate anyone or anything that gets in their way.

But we got finebaum and waters bringing up urban Meyer still to this day as a reference to rogue programs. People here say we should worry about ourselves and that's true but it isn't a binary thing especially since florida continues to get its name dragged anytime some program has problems. I don't follow other programs but I can spare a little attention when this crap about Georgia keeps getting out. 23 incidents since the Jalen Carter racing deaths and yet none of that made any real news until recently. Those are just the documented events that eventually became public record. Can't imagine what never even gets out.

 

It’s the media man. Can’t trust a damn thing from those assholes. Everything they report or choose not to report is aligning with the agenda behind it. And that agenda is seldom good

 

It's $$$. News media doesn't care and sports media has to protect their investments today. You will never see a punishment like Florida got again. It's not just good ole boy power cliques like it used to be. The industry is too big now that the media and governing bodies can't expose the underbelly of their cash cows.

The only way to get in trouble in Georgia is if you did charge or prosecute. Those would be out of a job quickly

 

Why. It's on ESPN, so who are you pointing it out to? Do you have a wider audience than the leader in sports entertainment?

They're not students. They're university contract employees with extra steps. Nobody has cared about integrity for decades.

You'd make a great HOA president somewhere though. Untapped talent for worrying about your neighbors.

 

You can’t report anything or you get barred from access. How can the press report on programs without access. Step in line or lose your ability to work. Writing fluff? Yer in. Writing critical pieces? Yer out.

 

Someone got cancelled for reporting on the truth in 2024? Oh my!!!

 

The SEC office can get involved in discipline if they feel the need to. Doubt it will happen and should it, there will be legal challenges. The NFL does it but it’s in their contract.
