Grisham joins a long line of former Trump supporters or people who have worked with him who have turned against him, who have revealed the disdain he shows for so many - whether military, his voters or whoever. And your only thought about that is to try to make fun of the people talking about that?
    That's it?
Any thoughts on what she said? Or what John Kelly and others have said?

I do think that it’s traitorous in this case. If you were voting for Liz Cheney, fine. She is way to the right, but she respects this country and this country’s democracy. But, to vote for a man who has been trying to overthrow our government and who is a despicable human being who should be in jail , that is pure selfishness. You are putting policy over country.

As opposed to the candidate who is campaigning on grievances especially his own personal grievances not to mentioning his imagined superiority attributable to his extreme form of Narcissistic Personality Disorder some examples include his claim that he is smarter and better looking than his opponent and has drawn the largest crowds in history for his political events despite evidence to the contrary. Whether you agree with them or not and I'm sure that you don't Harris has provided a much extensive and detailed description of her policy proposals than has Trump. He is essentially running on two issues and has made four proposals, his usual standard of building the Southern border wall, rounding up and deporting every undocumented immigrant, lowering taxes further for the wealthiest taxpayers and corporations and across the board tariffs would in effect be a sales tax on every American household.

Please. Trump’s whole campaign is built on how he is mistreated. It’s an endless bitchy, toddler-esque whine of how he’s been wronged, the election was stolen and the people running against him are to be feared. Not a bit of policy in any of it except saying “when I get re-elected things will be great” while he generally shit talks the US. Frankly, other than his core base of about 40% I think most of the rest of us are tired of his constant negativity, name calling and dystopian demonization that his base thinks makes him look “strong” when he’s really just a weak, first rate grifter who doesn’t give a rat’s ass about you or me, or anyone else outside his family.

As a reminder, Trump ran in 2020 with no platform and is running in 2024 with the shortest platform in recent memory.

Let me get this straight: trump makes a derogatory remark about millions of Americans, and by discussing it, we’re the ones in the wrong? So when the mask slips, revealing how he really sees his followers, we’re supposed to stay silent and not use it to show his supporters that they’ve been misled?

Thanks for clarifying. I guess I now understand how defending Trump works. Thank you for your patience.

LOL! Trump has no policies and never has. He just riles his base up to care about stupid ass culture wars because he has absolutely nothing of substance to offer. Still waiting for his healthcare plan 8 years later, but we will continue to wait because this is the same buffoon who later said “no one knew healthcare could be this complicated” when everyone besides him knew it was. This guy is so dumb and blatantly lies to your face and you all are like “more please!”

The ultimate irony is Trumpism has done nothing but accelerate that "sprint" towards extremism. Any reasonable gop candidate the last 3 elections we are in a much different space

Mad respect. I wish more Republicans would grow a pair and reject the Trump takeover of the party. And I say that as a lifelong Republican who went NPA in 2020. Trump needs to lose, and lose badly, and MAGA/Trumpism needs to be exorcised from the party before I'll consider voting R again. Otherwise he and his followers will just continue to sow seeds in the GOP and hang around for a generation. Take back your party, Republicans!

My hope is after trump gets voted down and there is a peaceful transition to Kamala the Republican Party returns to sanity and becomes once again the fiscally Conservative Party. If they could allow women to make their own medical decisions we could return to reasonable political disagreements again. It will happen eventually. I may be optimistic on the timing.
