Democratic National Convention - Chicago Aug 19 to 22

As I tried to say earlier, to reduce the objections to ID based disenfranchisement as anti-racist is to acknowledge that one views the world in racial terms.The poor, the elderly, the young as victims are apparently to be ignored.

You had Republicans with all three branches of government from 2017-2019 (before covid so no excuses) and nothing got passed except for a tax bill that exploded the deficit. Thankfully that expires in 2025 and hopefully it won't get extended. No fiscal conservatives with that bloated trickle down lie.

Where was the immigration reform? The blown down rickety fence? Nothing else.

Where was the Medicare win? You know, getting rid of those dang state circles? Nothing.

Infrastructure? Absolutely nothing.

Nothing else passed. A big fat zero for controlling all three branches of government.

We already saw the lies and distortion at the RNC and the republican voters like you are doing the same on this thread.

You don't deserve 4 years after showing your guys can't get squat passed to help anyone.

I think it’s more that the dems are assuming the GOP motivation, which is plain to see with gerrymandering that there is a racial aspect.

I don’t think the dems are wrong in this assumption that the motivation here is also to knock down a few % participation of the black vote. Although it’s fair to point out there are others caught up in the crosshairs of this issue (elderly, disabled, poor whites, etc).

Let me simplify: if you're white, middle-aged, and straight you're a Predator and should be sent to re-education camps to atone for your heinous, racist existence. There used to be an exemption for Jews but since they fight back they're now considered predators and racists as well. And, when there's a group we don't like we reserve the option to lump them into the racist category as well.

as I understand it, if 1 is going to say that requiring ID for voting discriminates against blacks, then it seems fair game to say that it discriminates against blacks to require an ID for this convention. seems straight forward.
