Why can’t players wear padding on their helmets in game like they do in practice?

    Fewer concussions?

Shhhhh, don't give them any ideas. But the next big thing in helmets is the alien head sized helmets... coming soon.

Because you can't put your logo on them and they look ugly?

Gainesville High School wore helmets that had about a 5 inch purple pad from the front to the back of their helmets. Probably the most recognized helmet in the state back then.

I was rewatching the 1996 Sugar Bowl highlights. FSU went for the head after the whist on every damn play. Count me as one who likes the new rules.

The new rules kind of suck like ballet, but I do understand why it’s there.

I was born the year. They got plastic helmets so it’s all my fault.

They should. Less and less kids entering the sport because of the potential for hesd injuries.

Just hit it with PAM and would be tacklers will simply slide away. For more assurance we could have one of our "donors" offer opposing players a $1000 bribe , sorry "Name, Image and Likeness" "compensation", for each missed tackle.
