Just another group of liberals comparing their mental illness .... each trying to "outdo" the other.

He might well be a jerk, but I still don’t see how he made the situation unsafe. She talked with another person about using a chair to break a window and escape. This is Karen land.

How was the security of the meeting compromised merely by having him there? And anonymity? There was an entire production crew with multiple cameras already set up. How could anyone presume anonymity under that circumstance?

Friend, I think you’re really stretching on this one.

As I said. She may well have had issues. But this guy shows up not to take part in their common ground, but to mock them.
No he didn’t have a gun. But as she said, she wanted to leave but felt that Walsh’s production crew was blocking her exit.
Validly or not, that obviously upset her a good bit.
Now, how would you feel if she were your wife, mother, sister, daughter? What would you think about Walsh rushing to post what a wacko she is? And posters here celebrating it?

and you don’t find it “stretching” going for laughs attacking a harmless support group that has a different opinion?

Why does Michael Moore get escorted off premises by security in all his movies if this schtick is just for funsies?

When you were a guidance councilor did you invite people into the room to laugh at the kid you were counseling? If they said they werent cool with that, would you be like "ok, Karen!"

That's highly specific, are you drawing from a personal anecdote?

Of course not. Walsh's "wife" hasn't done anything to those folks.

Nah. Conjecture on the threat you insinuated, triangulated against how a sensitive commie hippy type might respond to 'get away from that freak'.

    Lol!

    Run away! It's. A. Freak!

Why would getting away from someone entail walking up to them and slapping them? Just a weird place to go to. If you're at a party you want to leave do you slap the host before you duck out?

Well, when there "ain't no telling what [you] would do to get away from that freak", you kinda invite conjecture.

Karens are intrusive, imposing their personal and strict ideologies upon others. This woman did no such thing.
Security has manifestations not only in the physical, but also in intellectual and emotional.w/o a better understand of the group context (purpose/procedures/members/etc.), it's unfair to call people's notion of security into question.
I may have been wrong about anonymity, my bad.

I’ve been imagining the women of my family being there. First off, none of them, even the most liberal, would be going to a support group for their guilt over being white.

If, however, they were there, none of them would’ve had a meltdown over some guy they don’t like crashing the meeting. And if they wanted to leave, they would’ve found a way. They would not have had to think about throwing a chair through the window.

I can tell you that my daughters would’ve given that guy what for. And if someone blocked their way leaving, they would’ve pushed the equipment aside and gotten out of there.

I’m not defending Walsh being there. I had never heard of him until this thread.

Keep in mind, however, that this was not a support group for rape victims. It was not a support group for cancer survivors. It was not a support group for anyone who experienced some tragedy in their life. It was a support group for guilt over being white.
