Auburn and Ole Miss with budgets in the top 10.? Surprising given their recent results, esp ole Miss. Maybe it includes something for the Rebs stadium renovation.
With September the 1st recruiting date, it was a subtle, but great recruiting interview for the Gators. CTW was at the top his game in the interview.
A point of contention....and you know I like you...has nothing to do with that. Sept 1 is the day to start recruiting, except in the rarest of circumstances, it is not a commitment date. We need to see what happens weeks or longer after that. I am completing a list and checking it twice. Let's fervently hope at least one or two on that list end up wanting to play in Hogtown. They did not last year and with the '23 and '24 class, that was not unexpected. Time to get back in the hunt with 2026 kids.
I agree but I think recruiting for the next couple years is going to be tough. There are 10 potential superstars on the current freshman and sophomore class and there is a possibility nobody new will break into that lineup for three years. I've got to think that is going to scare some recruits away.
You’re correct, I used the wrong words. I meant the first recruiting date. I edited my statement. Good catch!
Doesn't seem to at Oklahoma -- although truck stop money probably helps. But what a wonderful problem for us to have!
Another kid that both Tim and Francesca are following. McLaine Hudson, 2026 class, will play with Townsen later this month with the USA National U-18 team in the World Cup in Texas. She is playing 2b for USA. She holds a ton of Kentucky High School records (she's from Bowling Green). Plays travel with Louisville Lady Sluggers.
What I left out, my bad, about McLaine Hudson, is she is the youngest player on the 18U team. Kid must have some chops.
She's a pretty good basketball player as well, but her sophomore year softball stats for South Warren HS in Bowling Green, KY are: 41 games, BA .639, 158 plate appearances, 144 official at bats, 92 hits, 67 RBI, 22 HR, 31 stolen bases.
Now that the Students have moved into the dorms, do we know who the mystery lady next to Taylor based who showed up at school this weekend?
I do not know who is watching AU Softball. It is on ESPN+. Amanda is going off. They have individual points for each player based on what they do at-bat and in the field. Amanda is in first place 120 something ahead of #2. She just hit a 2 out 2 run homer over the CF fence. Next week is the last week of the season and she is probably going to win it all. If she does, she will be the second Gator to do that. Lele won it the first year of AU.
Yeah. And Skylar went 5-9 this week and dropped significantly in the leaderboard. With the scoring the way it is, you can be the best individual player on the field and it means nothing unless your team wins inning points and game points.
