Rouse for the FBI, and Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced today that three alleged members of the “Boogaloo” movement — a term used by extremists to signify a coming civil war and/or collapse of society — have been charged with violations of federal and state law for conspiracy to cause destruction during protests in Las Vegas, and possession of an unregistered destructive device (specifically, an improvised incendiary device commonly known as a Molotov cocktail)."

“Violent instigators have hijacked peaceful protests and demonstrations across the country, including Nevada, exploiting the real and legitimate outrage over Mr. Floyd’s death for their own radical agendas,” said U.S. Attorney Trutanich. “Law enforcement is focused on keeping violence and destruction from interfering with free public expression and threatening lives.”

95% of the thousands of demonstrations were peaceful. That left several hundred that were not. Among these, there were several incidents where right-wing provocateurs incited violence.

Minneapolis Mayor says peaceful protests have turned to ‘domestic terrorism.’

After four nights of chaos in Minneapolis, Mr. Frey called on people to stay home. “What started as largely peaceful protests for George Floyd have turned to outright looting and domestic terrorism in our region,” he said on Twitter.

He said people who broke the 8 p.m. curfew would be helping those who use crowds to prey on Minneapolis.

“We are now confronting white supremacists, members of organized crime, out-of-state instigators, and possibly even foreign actors to destroy and destabilize our city and our region,” he said.

 

I suspect it will be mostly a pro-Palestinian (not necessarily pro-Hamas) crowd. But amongst them, there will be Boogaloo Bois and other POS extremists, who will exploit the tense situation by trying to incite anger, violence and conflict with the police, as they did at several BLM protests.

• Lakeside, VA: Klansman Harry H. Rogers of Hanover, Virginia, was charged with attempted malicious wounding, destruction of property, and assault and battery after allegedly driving into a group of protesters. Rogers attended “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville and once identified himself as the state leader for the Rebel Brigade Knights, a Virginia-based Klan group.

June 6

• Fort Plain, NY: A brief altercation occurred between protesters and several individuals wearing pro-Klan and Confederate attire who arrived and reportedly began to distribute Klan propaganda as protesters were leaving Haslett Park.

June 5

• Brooksville, FL: As a protest was ending, David Howell, who has a swastika tattoo, allegedly started an altercation and pulled a machete from his pants. Howell is a member of Unforgiven, a large white supremacist prison gang based in the Florida prison system.

May 30

• Salt Lake City, UT: Brandon McCormick was arrested and charged with two felony weapons counts and one count of aggravated assault after allegedly brandishing a knife then aiming a bow and arrow at peaceful protestors. In the past, McCormick has shared far right and racist posts on social media.
