They are going to have to re-load in the portal again next season. Most of their offense is SRs.

 

And other teams will re-load too. Also... Napier is showing that he can pick out good talent in the portal. It's also not going unnoticed that when he offers an unknown player, every coach in the SEC suddenly checks that same player out and offers... They know he has an eye for talent.

 

The grassroots relationship-building and recruiting at the HS level ultimately produces stability and consistency - in contrast to constantly hoping for big hauls of mercenaries in the portal.

Having a senior laden team is a nice problem to have.

 

Not when they are all first year players to their program.

 

I’d guess it’s a little different than first year freshmen.

 

I don't ever remember his effort being questioned, guy has a motor.

I remember seeing his Louisville clips prior to playing for us. I had no doubts after watching it. The guy was always immediately up and off the turf if he ever got cut block and just absolutely relentless in pursuit. One of my all time favs

 

They are all in the sec which means they play eachother and will knock themselves down (most likely)

 

Probably, but the point is that was an equal preseason list of teams on all counts. IOW, their end of season ranking was a moot point.

Having pointed that out, I'd like to see which team beat the most ranked teams that were ranked at the end of the season... now that's the list I would be interested in dissecting.

I'll bet the Gators are on that list too... of both having played the most ranked, and beating the most ranked teams in one season.
