Good to hear some positivity. David Waters and Nick de la Torre saying they are hearing the right side of the OL is struggling all fall…so the perception isn’t good right now.
Frankly, his arm strength is pretty average. But I believe the deep ball will probably be there with this WR room and even a modestly improved OL. We'll see if he can improve on the downfield efficiency/range. I do expect to see DJ testing the deep ball on a regular basis as a part of his FR OJT regimen.
Yea I think Lagway’s game will be similar to AR and AR threw a lot of deep balls in the same offense. Of course he wasn’t as productive in the short game.
Yeah, there are de In my half-wit fan's opinion, DJ is not quite as far off the chart athletically as AR, but he's already better at the short and intermediate routes than AR may ever be. He just seems to process that facet of the game better. Add a high velocity and accurate deep ball to that piece and you have a great QB recruit as opposed to a great athlete who can't fully execute the passing game. I really like where we're at in that room.
