Her history can still work if she plays the regret card although I seriously doubt that it will have any effect on swing voters.

Don’t blame him. These weirdos disqualify themselves. One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was ‘when you have already won, stop talking’.

Well, he does say awful things about the LGBT folks - called them filth so, of course, he’s gets a lot of votes that way and add in the neo-Nazis, anti-semites, and misogynists, he’s built quite a coalition. He will win my county easily. Lord willing, Charlotte, and the educated folk in the research triangle will produce a heavy turnout and send this clown back home.

Why are they weirdos? I have to admit, I'm asking because I haven't read much about this state's elections.

    So, honest answer.

Guy is adamant that no abortions should ever happen - yet he and his wife had an abortion
Guy has defended Israel's right to exist - yet has questioned the historical accuracy of the Holocaust
Guy has demanded getting people off government hand outs - yet he and his wife built a day care business on government hand outs - then, refused to pay taxes for years.

This guy is no conservative. He is no moral beacon and honestly, is one of the worst examples of Republicans, even in a field with numerous low brow candidates like Gaetz, Boebert and Taylor-Greene.

He has such poor appeal even to Republicans - his polling numbers contract by the day, while his Democratic opponent literally sits by and says nothing.

I think it's sad every time a woman has an abortion, that is not for true health reasons... But as people, we see...learn and grow as we go through life. And some people change their views on abortion.

The question might be better asked if we trust those that say they have grown, and change their views on certain subjects like abortion? What about if you change your mind about fracking, say... some other political tenet?

That's a hard one to gauge... and then if you do change your mind on abortion, and having had one in the past, are you worthy to espouse your opinion to others? Is it the same as changing your mind on fracking? Or do we make that one subject immutable forever?

I don't think we can be so rigid in our principle beliefs that leave us no room to grow... to learn... and to change, so long as it's not reversed more than once.

We humans make mistakes, some that might even seem unforgivable, but that does NOT disqualify us from changing and growing. Nor does it mean we can't discuss that change of opinion.
