AR absolutely has the right to criticize Florida and his coaches and upset and alienate his own fan base for no real reason other than to make excuses why he did not play well. The wiser and more intelligent posters understand that those actions are stupid and it only hurts himself and he should focus on getting much better as a QB.

AR was at Florida for 4 years (redshirts Junior) was not good at reading defenses, could only run 70% of the play book and was one of the most inaccurate passer in UF history. Who fault is that? DJ has been here a few months and can run the whole playbook.

AR is criticizing the program and people who gave him A LOT of help and it is dumb. Florida has done way more for AR than he has done for Florida, so why not a little gratitude and humility.

More proof Mullen wasn't bringing in talent. Lost a bunch to the NFL early on but year 3 and 4 followed by Napier's first two has resulted in a precipitous drop of nfl talent. We'll see what napier brings going forward. My hope/expectation is that Napier's results will be a total opposite trajectory from Mullen. We will see

The inaccuracy was the fault of the receivers. He made that perfectly clear at the NFL Combine with his "But I also can't catch every pass. If I could, I would, definitely." comments.

Not to quibble but I understood that either he could not, or would not, run even as much of the playbook as you credit him.

If Spurrier said something negative no one should listen. The guy is all Nole and despite his titles and decades of experience really knows jack squat about football so me as a fan in row 73 yeah I know more than him for sure. Definitely sensor the guy when he speaks because he knows only 10% of what we know...Heck I bet he could take our current team and win a couple games and then go o-fer the rest of the season with our usual bending over from Georgia. Play caller...oh my he is no Will Muschamp or Doug Nussmeyer....and yes I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night. Happy?

I was trying not to be too rough.

He definitely has short coming that he needs to be honest about and take responsibility for, and if he learned to have the same professionalism and work ethics of Gramm and DJ, the sky is the limit for him.

He needs to realize that being critical and airing out dirty laundry can go both ways, and it helps no one.

My Momma said, "If you an't got nothin nice to say, then don't saying nothin at all, except if it's a Nole."

He already sustained a season-ending injury in Indianapolis. Is their strength and conditioning suspect also? Sometimes you have to look in the mirror.

I think everyone understands that it is just his opinion. Some share the opinion, and some believe that the underlying problem with the program was a lack of depth and talent. Napier has addressed those issues. But when you are a dual-threat QB you are going to take hits. Many of the QBs starting in the NFL are dual-threat QBs and were not perennially injured in college or the pros. If he were a pocket passer and got creamed in the pocket because of poor protection, that would be one thing. But when a major facet of your game is running and not passing, you can't expect opposing teams to take it easy on you.

He’s better off shutting it and getter better and staying healthy. Passing blame is weak whether it’s true or not.

Yeah, I’d be more inclined to believe Mr. Glass if he hadn’t cracked — what was it? — two games into his first NFL season. I’m guessing the over-under for how many games he makes it this season is around five.

    Exactly!

He did say negatives things that were/are concerning and he should keep those thoughts behind closed doors, not for the public. I agree with everything else you said.

That was something that I always liked about Spurrier. When someone got suspended it was always "for breaking team rules".

I think there were too many people telling him how great he was.

And when a kid played bad, it was Spurrier‘s fault for putting him in there
