Seems very bizarre, her handlers must be scared shitless to give her a shot.

They could always invent one, like they did with the Olympic boxer.
I'll be voting for Kamala because I care much more about democracy than media interviews.

The longer she waits, the tougher the press will get.

It's pretty clear from watching that video that Harris isn't going to pivot from this strategy. She'll set up the cream puff interview before the end of this month and the questions will intensify next month.

I don’t view these two as separate issues. How do I know how she will handle our democracy if she doesn’t answer questions about it? Not that there is any way I’m voting for Trump; we already know his disregard for democracy, but so far I’m liking the libertarian candidate, Chase Oliver.

She’s likely avoiding addressing questions on this subject:

Tough Questions for Kamala Harris’ Reparations Plans

“Vice President Kamala Harris supports reparations for slavery, but Democrats’ presumptive presidential nominee has yet to publish her plan to get them done. Whatever her plan, it will have to answer a bunch of thorny questions.

First, who gets reparations? Harris has left open the possibility of reparations to black Americans for both slavery and what she calls “systemic racism in the system.”

Slavery reparations, by definition, may go only to people who suffered because of slavery. Of course, no one alive today has suffered under legal slavery (although human trafficking is a serious problem).

So supporters of reparations for slavery say that payments should go to the descendants of those who were enslaved before the Civil War. But how would Harris figure out who those people are? She can’t use the racial category “black” as a proxy for descendants of slaves, because a large and growing percentage of black Americans are recent African and West Indian immigrants or their descendants.”

Exactly! Most of people supporting her probably have no clue what her policies will be, except maybe for promoting abortions in every state.

Every day the polls shift further in Queen kamkam’s favor. The right is desperate for her to say something/anything to change that. Pound sand, deplorables.

She didn't just become a politician. She's out there giving speeches nearly every day. She's spent four years as VP. She ran for President in the past. She spent years in the U.S. Senate and as California AG. There's no real mystery about what Kamala Harris stands for. It's your vote. You're going to do what you're going to do, but let's not pretend it's because her beliefs are some great mystery.
It's not a mystery what policies she's for. She's a run-of-the-mill Democrat. And good, I hope she does promote abortion access in every single damn state.

He fails to see the distinction probably intentionally between allowing access to abortions and promoting abortions.

It worked for Biden as he somehow fooled enough people to last about 3 1/2 years before the entire country realized what many could see pretty clearly a couple years back.

I would imagine the Harris campaign advisers will continue to shield her from the press going forward. She has yet to take questions or give an interview and she can continue to do so as long as the “anyone but Trump” wave continues. Harris is a poor public speaker who really struggles to articulate her thoughts and the best strategy going forward is to minimize the situations where she can say something really stupid. Smart strategy by thr Democrats.

I knew someone would come back with that. To me it’s like someone during prohibition fighting to make alcohol legal, who then turns around and says they’re not promoting the consumption of alcohol. Promoting access is promoting its use.

Promoting people's rights = freedom. Inappropriate analogy aside, in both cases there is a freedom to choose and a freedom to exercise discretion. Now tell me that people promoting access to guns is promoting murder, cause that's your take.
