so it was ROger Stones emails accounts that were compromised to send the infected emails to the Trump campaign....karmas a bitch

Harris campaign also targeted but nobody stupid enough to bite

FBI probing alleged Iran hack attempts targeting Trump, Biden camps (msn.com)

When the Trump campaign initially concluded it had been hacked, it did not alert the FBI, according to campaign advisers. The decision not to alert the FBI was made partially because of the campaign’s distrust of the agency, the people said.

Trump, who blamed Democrats for poor information security when they were hacked in 2016, has expressed frustration over the hack, these people said.

People familiar with the matter said the phishing attempt appears to have succeeded in compromising the communications of at least one person not formally connected to either campaign: Roger Stone, a longtime friend and adviser to Trump.

“I was informed by the authorities that a couple of my personal email accounts have been compromised,” Stone said in a brief interview. “I really don’t know more about it. And I’m cooperating. It’s all very strange.”

I have a feeling that Trump's promise to flea to Venezuela will end up like Rush Limbaugh's promise to move to Costa Rica is the ACA/Obamacare was enacted. It's not going to happen (fleeing to Venezuela not losing the election) and he will probably backtrack on the statement within 24 hours as did the late not so great Limbaugh with his promise.

I'm thinking this would be grounds to confiscate his passport while he is under indictment

Donald Trump Money From Turkey Resurfaces Amid Egypt Gift Allegations (msn.com)

Kerwick said that this is not the first time that Barr has been accused of blocking an investigation into payments to Trump from a Middle Eastern government.

"Barr also allegedly intervened to have Geoffrey Berman, the U.S. attorney for the SDNY, resign in 2020 when Berman was investigating cases that had potential political implications, including those involving Turkish interests."

"Businessman Wadie Habboush and family made a $1,000,000.00 donation to Trump and facilitated a meeting with Erdogan. Erdogan-tied businessman granted access to Trump through a donor," she said.

Judge Chutkan faces call to seize Trump's passport after threat to flee to Venezuela (msn.com)

George Washington Law Professor Randall Eliason, a former federal prosecutor, called on U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan to seize Donald Trump's passport after he suggested that he might flee to Venezuela.

In a conversation with Elon Musk on Monday, Trump hinted that he would move to Venezuela if he lost the 2024 presidential election.

Eliason noted Tuesday that Chutkan had not required Trump to surrender his passport when he was first arraigned.

"In light of this interview, [special counsel Jack Smith] should move to modify Trump's release conditions and have her require that he give up his passport," Eliason wrote on X.

Trump campaign has 'break-glass' moment amid GOP 'panic': report (msn.com)

Anew report from Axios claims that a recent flurry of moves from former President Donald Trump's campaign are coming amid GOP "panic" about Vice President Kamala Harris erasing his lead in 2024 presidential election polls.

"Former President Trump's stewing and Republican anxiety over Vice President Harris' sudden rise in the polls has led to the first break-glass moment of Trump's campaign," Axios writes.

"Trump posted on X for the first time in nearly a year, unveiled a barrage of online ads, quickly scheduled trips to two swing states and beefed up his team of top advisers. Trump's attention-getting efforts also included sitting for an interview Monday night with X owner Elon Musk, in a chat delayed 40 minutes by technical issues."

The report also raises questions about the state of Trump's mental health as he's watched the Harris campaign generate a wave of enthusiasm that has included jam-packed campaign rallies. "Trump's irritation — and lingering disappointment at not being able to run against Biden — have been clear in his meandering appearances in public, and in private as well," the report notes.

    this won't help in Missouri

Abortion rights initiative will appear on Missouri's November ballot (msn.com)

An amendment that would enshrine abortion access in Missouri's constitution will appear on the state's general election ballot, Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft's office announced Tuesday.

Ashcroft, a Republican, deemed that the petitions to qualify the initiative on the ballot had a sufficient number of signatures to proceed. He also approved other initiatives for the November ballot, including on minimum wage, earned paid sick time and on sports wagering.

If approved, the initiative would amend the state's constitution to establish a right to make decisions about reproductive health care, remove the state's current restrictions on abortion, allow the regulation of reproductive health care to improve a patient's health and require the government not to discriminate against people providing or seeking reproductive health care.

The ballot would also protect abortion rights up until fetal viability, around the 24th week of pregnancy, except to protect the life or health of the mother.

This is pretty much what I was talking about. Instead of spoofing emails, just compromise smaller fish to get at the big fish.

“I was informed by the authorities that a couple of my personal email accounts have been compromised,” Stone said in a brief interview. “I really don’t know more about it. And I’m cooperating. It’s all very strange.”

That could very well be a credential stuffing attack. Due to folks regularly re-using passwords, credential stuffing is using that password on any accounts linked to the victim.

You don’t know. My father who died about 5 years ago at the age of 80 would click on every banner headline he saw. He would then download every toolbar either by saying yes or just by clicking on banner adds. My nephew and I would take turns going over every month and cleaning his computer. My nephew ended up writing or finding a program that would stop this.

As trump continues to lag in the polls, it is evident that he needs a new message. But what can it be? Any policy discussions can be referenced back to Project 2025 which has been proven to be wildly unpopular. He can try to scapegoat Harris for people's current problems, but she is not president. Even his current attacks on Harris may have lost their sting given it has all been heard before.

Is he boxed into a corner that someone with his limited intelligence cannot escape?

Trump's trouble are once again, Trump.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4829133-trump-campaign-messaging-strategy/

The former president’s omnipresence makes him the sole driver of his campaign’s message at a time when his allies have pleaded with him to be more disciplined and hone his attacks on Harris.

“He thinks he’s his own best messenger,” added Matthews, who has become a Trump critic. “Which can be true at times, but it can come back to bite him in the a‑‑ a bit. He’s not capable of staying on message.
