Own what? I’ve said all along I think the point of law was to provide tampons to girls, and that is how it would be used 99.9% of the time. I’m sure someone raised the issue of “what about the 0.1% of trans male teens who might need one?”. Well, that is an issue of fairness so they made the law gender neutral and gave the local boards latitude to solve that potential problem on their own. Not sure how they could have handled it better.

My only involvement here is disputing the ridiculous idea that the law mandates a tampon dispenser in every boys bathroom… it doesn’t. You’ve done nothing to make that case.

Oh yay! The river dance!

It's a mandate to put them in all bathrooms regularly used by students from 4th to 12th grades. Which. Includes. Boys. Bathrooms.

...yawn... you're Schick is old and stale. By decades.

First of all, show me part where the law says “all bathrooms”… your are just making shit up.

The law could be met by putting a tampon dispense in one gender neutral bathroom on campus… right?

Or only in girls bathrooms if the school had no trans males students…. Right?

I take offense to American politicians who invite Russia to tamper in our elections.

I guess you have no problem with that.

Yeah, do you really not understand that females students would primarily benefit from free tampons?

I said “primarily benefit”….im sure there will be rare cases where a trans male students also may benefit from the products being available in a unisex bathroom, or god forbid, even a boys bathroom or two…

    Administrators?

That's nice that they are willing to assume the risk of litigation by declaring their interpretation, but... the law, on its face, has broader application (they're not the judiciary--their interpretation is not binding, though it does provide cover for those beneath them and within their purview).

Ah, so the folks who are actually implementing it ... What do they know?
It's been in effect for eight months. The largest school district doesn't have them in the boys' restrooms.

Actually, if you're honest, the primary beneficiaries will be the tampon manufacturers who will have artificially inflated demand for their product...and boys with a sense of humor, whom I'm sure, will have field days galore with all those superfluous tampons in their bathrooms...

So what's next for superhero Tampon Tim?

Urinals in all bathrooms regularly used by students in grades 4 thru 12???

Bc you know, when ya gots ta go ya gots ta go, and that applies to boys, gals, trannys, hermaphrodites, asexuals, nonsexuals, dogs, cats...and on down the alphabet soup of extra biological made up non-classifications...

    ...and yet... here YOU are....

    :monkey:[/QUOTE]
Here I am and it didn't affect me and there you are and my guess is that it didn't affect you either. Correct me if I'm wrong, my guess is that weren't going to vote for the Harris/Walz ticket even if Tim Walz took the more sensible position that tampon vending machines should be limited to girls restrooms.

I wouldn't be shocked if Walz doesn't already have litter boxes in the restrooms.

Took me a while find one, but here is an actual announcement from a local school district. I’m sorry @92gator but you lose this round. Nothing in there about them being installed in boys restrooms, just as I expected.

    Feb 5 2024
    Minnesota recently passed
legislation requiring school districts to provide free menstrual products to students in grades 4-12. Minnesota is the16th state to mandate free menstrual products in schools. Menstrual products refer to pads, tampons or other similar products used during a menstrual cycle.
In the coming weeks we will install product dispensers in girl bathrooms and all gender neutral bathrooms for grades 4-12, as well as receptacles to dispose of them.

Feminine products soon available in school restrooms

The only bothersome aspect is the attempted spin, that he didn't champion this law.

Instead of defending Tampon Tim's namesake law, we were/are treated to so much crap about how the law doesn't say what it says.

= "unburdened by the past", right?
