Hawthorne (Fla.) wing CJ Ingram, the son of former Florida tight end Cornelius Ingram who won a pair of national title throughout his time as a Gator, has committed to Florida. The 6-foot-6, 195-pound prospect is ranked No. 73 overall and No. 11 at his position in the 2025 recruiting class on 247Sports. Initially a two-sport athlete who was also being pursued by the Gator football team, Ingram will focus on basketball only moving forward.
Committed, but yes. Great get. This kid has huge upside. Complements Lloyd and Brown very well. Long, athletic, high ceiling. Also the exact kind of guy Golden wants to recruit from high school: physically read to play from the jump, but also being a Gator legacy and local kid he is probably less likely to bolt if he doesn't get immediate playing time. Great way to restock the roster after Clayton, Martin, and Richard leave.
Had offers from a pretty good group: Arizona State, Georgetown, Cincinnatti, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tammy, Vandy, UGA, West Virginia, and Dayton, among others.
Couldn't find his basketball stats, but in football he passed for over 200 yards per game on 64% completions.
Good get but when did I get so old. lol. I remember his dad playing football and I thought he either played one year of basketball or at least there was talk of it.
I don't often give props to Noles but if Ingram turns out to be half as good as Charlie Ward as a football quarterback that turned into a full time basketball player we will be very pleased.
