It was known when he was hired these folks were going to be on the payroll. So right after he steps down, throw a story out and start off with 'Publican' hit piece. Hell, when faculty receive a grant to attend a conference, they have to provide a receipt for a friggin' bottle of water at the airport, document the expense in accordance with the grant proposal, do a happy dance for the bookkeeper and jump down, turn around, pick a bail of cotton in order to reconcile a $2.79 expense.
