That might be true. But lyons has never had a sack and only has 2 TFLs in 2 years. I get that there is more than the stat sheet, and I understand that he was just coming into his own. Let’s just hope we stay a little more healthy from here on out!
I want to be optimistic, but you only have to watch the practice videos to see that he is a DE body at DT, who will be in on 3rd and long.
I think some are making too much of this. Yes, it sucks …but this literally happens to every team. We’ll be fine.
And 400 pounds, which wasn’t listed on the official roster anyways, is still overweight, by a significant margin. He cannot be relied upon this season. That’s why the Lyons injury hurts.
Camp just started 11 days ago. No way he has lost 27 lbs. At best he might be 440. Even doing two a days. This isn't the biggest loser where they were dropping 20 lbs a week. The guy is still an eater that hasn't changed. They will have his weight list on the first week depth chart. 14 more days of camp and game one prep week starts around the 24th.
taylor? That’s true, heck, I thought he was brought in to be a DE. But if we are worried against a tempo team he might be just the guy. again, I hate losing Lyons. From all I’ve read he was a leader. But I think we got some bodies to take his role.
That’s when aspect of why I don’t mind. These kids getting paid and medical should follow them for the rest of their lives if they are injured in anyway that they endure it for the rest of their lives.
Both with the injury of Lyons. I like Banks and Slackman (who still needs to prove himself against SEC competition) but that’s about it.

Would be surprised if boireau is still with the team and Jackson Watson slackman all gone after this year. Robinson is a true freshman
Is something brewing on the down low with Boireau? He's currently full go in practice as far I know. Apparently, the traffic incident in Georgia was not a deal breaker, but could be viewed as a red flag I suppose.
He has a pending felony charge in GA for evading the police and causing an accident with injuries. Florida football DL Michai Boireau arrested following high speed chase
