Harris isn't going to cut anyone's taxes; she is going to let Trump's tax cuts expire and raise taxes on top of that. Forget recession and Great Recession as the US will be headed into another Great Depression with 4 more years of dem rule.

Yes, you can take it to the bank that the 2018 tax cuts will be extended, permanently hopefully, and Trump will exempt tips. Getting congress to approve tax cuts on top of the above will be another matter altogether. However, it is something Trump is campaigning on and wants to do.

Bottom line, no democrat is calling for tax cuts or the extension of the 2018 tax cuts which expire in 2025. It's tied to Trump, so the cuts have to go even if the US falls into recession or depression.

Waffle House just started a new policy. Tips will now be held by Waffle House and will be rolled into the employee paychecks. The only exclusion to this is if customers pay the tip in cash. Waffle House wants to reduce cash on hand in the restaurants is the stated reason. If tips end up being exempted from taxes, Waffle House will need to rethink the new policy or come up with both taxable and non-taxable income for the workers.

 

Right idea wrong execution. There should be no taxes on low wage earners getting by which includes people living off of tips. Why only tip earners? It’s like passing healthcare for prostrate cancer patients but not breast cancer patients.
