Tulsi Gabbard details ‘stress’ from life under surveillance

Whistleblower claiming Biden administration starting surveilling Tulsi Gabbard the day after she criticized same. Wow, with "Tattle tale Tim" in the VP potentially we're almost to the point where Big Brother has all the info and all the big guns. Now, the whistleblower is being checked out. No bueno. Next, they'll send FBI agents to PTA meetings..., oh, wait...what?

Biden Administration: sending armed agents into PTA meetings, surveilling critics and keeping Secret Service agents off rooftops. DIVERSITY!!! Yay!

If she has been enrolled into the program, shouldn't you wait until for information as to the who and why before you start accusing political harassment?

Or am I expecting too much from you?

So, the Biden administration is putting five air marshals on the plane with her. Monitoring her phone calls, etc. All because she criticized Biden?
Given the number of people who have criticized Biden these past four years, we're going to need a lot more air marshals.

From the WSJ: another Bidenesque policy to limit the rights of Americans. Democracy for 1,000 Alex.

The Biden administration has been easing sanctions on Iran over the past year. Meanwhile it is using a recent executive order to impose unprecedented sanctions on Jews in Israel who disagree with the administration’s policies. The sanctions violate the constitutional rights of U.S. citizens in Israel and their supporters in America.

This week an American Christian Zionist nonprofit, Texans for Israel, and several American Jews living in Israel filed a lawsuit in federal court in Texas challenging the sanctions regime on free-speech, due-process and equal-protection grounds….

The first part of Mr. Biden’s executive order permits the imposition of sanctions on anyone the administration regards as involved in undermining “peace” or “stability” in the West Bank—even if there is no allegation of criminal conduct or violence. This directive is far-reaching because the administration deems Jews merely living in the West Bank—and certainly building or buying homes there—as “obstacles to peace.” An internal administration memo described the sanctions as targeted at those who “disrupt or prevent efforts to achieve a two-state solution.” The administration also views Jews visiting their holy sites as “provocative.”….

Sanctions are strong medicine. When the U.S. government imposes sanctions on an individual, his bank accounts and those of his immediate family will be frozen. Anyone who provides any “funds, goods, or services” to them may in turn be subjected to sanctions as well. These are harsh measures typically reserved for terrorists and dictators. Texans for Israel’s support for Judea and Samaria settlements—by hosting speaking events or donating to Israeli advocacy groups—is an exercise of its First Amendment rights. But because of the breadth of the executive order, which sweeps in vast amounts of perfectly legal conduct, it faces massive financial risks that unconstitutionally chill its free speech.

This is an opinion piece and a strongly biased opinion bordering on outright misinformation

According to the original linked article in this thread the harassment of Gabbard is supposedly placing more Sky Marshals on flights in which Tulsi Gabbard is a passenger. Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't exactly consider that a significant form of harassment.

Here is the executive order from 5 months ago (just being challenged in a suit last week).

Executive Order on Imposing Certain Sanctions on Persons Undermining Peace, Security, and Stability in the West Bank | The White House

Give it a read. Which parts do you disagree with? Are 1A rights challenged?

Do you believe that citizens have a right to provide material aid to foreign terrorist organization or participate in unauthorized military or paramilitary actions (The Neutrality Act)? Is it a right to actively destabilize a security situation to the detriment of the United States and its foreign policy initiatives?

I would love to hear your informed opinion based on law and precedent. How would you contrast this EO with past EOs involving Iraq, Nicaragua, Yemen, post-9/11 terrorism, and foreign cyper-attacks.

    Thanks in advance.

    I call bullshit.

Why on earth would they put air Marshalls on her flight? They think she’s gonna hijack the plane?

The only way that kinda makes sense would be intimidation/harassment. But that only makes sense if they were making their presence aware to her - which is not the case given the “whistleblower”

She's a very high profile individual, who used to be a rising star in the Democratic Party. They are attempting to intimidate her with the numerous air marshals and wiretapping. Also, 2+2=4. Glad I could be of help to you today.

There's a reason they call it the AUTHORITARIAN Left. Tulsi criticized the Deep State and the Molitary Industrial Comlex and said Kamala was not strong enough to stand up to them.. so the gov't has been weaponized against a true patriot. Congress should find out who made this decision.

    Welcome to the USSR.

It’s an EO saying if you don’t play by our rules (broadly defined) we can & will freeze your assets. For US citizens in Israel and US citizens supporting Israel it’s a great way to get them to shut up and/or stop their support.

Of course, this would be a bigger concern if the government was in cahoots with social media companies scanning for those people whose comments do not agree with the administration. Oh, wait, we already have that with the Biden administration. Thank God they so care about “democracy”

You did not answer a single one of my questions. I think I know why.

The onus is on you to justify your conclusions and defend the veracity of your sources when asked. If you can do neither, you should reflect on your motivations for sharing them in the first place.

I will ask again, where are the challenges to free speech in the EO 14115?

Here are the first three rounds of the sanctions, according to J-Street:
    • The first round announced upon the EO’s issuance designated four violent settlers, including David Chai Chasdai who led the deadly pogrom in the West Bank town of Huwara in February 2023.
    • The second round announced on March 14, 2024 imposed sanctions on two illegal farming outposts, Zvi’s Farm and Moshe’s Farm, which the State Department noted as having been used as bases for “perpetrat[ing] violence against Palestinians.” It also designated their owners and an additional violent settler, Neriya Ben Pazi, who “expelled Palestinian shepherds from hundreds of acres of land.”
    • The third round announced on April 19, 2024 imposed sanctions on two entities for establishing crowdfunding campaigns to benefit individuals designated in the first round of sanctions under the EO. It also designated Benzi Gopstein, a top ally of Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir. Gopstein founded and leads Lehava, an anti-miscegenation group whose members “have engaged in violence, including assaults on Palestinian civilians.
