I was just talking about that run with a friend - was at the game and I still wasn't comfortable until Terry broke that one. What a feeling.

I was there, too

We were in a Bourbon St restaurant and they had a bunch of Sugar Bowl pennants on the wall so I asked for one and they gave it to me. Still on my wall.

 

Florida redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Jamari Lyons suffered a season-ending injury during UF's first scrimmage of fall camp, Gators head coach Billy Napier confirmed Monday.

"Jamari Lyons broke his ankle, and he'll be out for the season," Napier said Monday. "Obviously our thoughts and prayers are with him."

 

Like I have been saying forever... You can never have enough Big-Uglies and Big-Nasties on your team.

 

Yeah, not UFs deepest or strongest position. Thought Lyons would see serious PT.

I sure hope this is the end of the serious injuries.

Besides just soaking up snaps, it also means Banks and Slackman have to be disruptive. Lyons and Jackson were the ones pushing Banks in practice to give more effort.

Looks like we may see a reprise of E. Smith sweep right, E. Smith sweep left, and E. Smith up the middle on Florida Field once again. I'm sad that it won't be in the O&B.

 

I think he was running 4th string - two other backs who played for aggies last year (both of whom who out gained Owens) are expected to get the bulk of the carries.
