either their intel is really bad or they don't care about the body count as long as they get whoever was launching rockets from there

the last election was decades ago and anyone that opposed Hamas ends up dead. It was that way before the J6 attack and continues that way. Hamas was shooting people trying to escape Gaza and ruled Gaza with no mercy on their own

I can't know for sure, but from my experience in the combat zone, typically, civilians are just caught up in the mix of the belligerents.

Hard to envision peace in the area. Neither Hamas or Bibi seem to want peace.

Bibi may indeed succeed in destroying Hamas and most of Gaza with it. However, any peace will only be temporary. Another group will arise in Gaza seeking vengeance for their families' deaths and on and on it goes. Not to mention Hezbollah to the north.

Get down with your sickness... TDS is real with you.

And Trump has NOTHING TO do with the Biden/Harris administration's lack of diplomacy skills when dealing with the Middle East.

It's sad that those with TDS think it's the other side that has it. But I guess that can happen with mental illness.

That’s the rub. The radicalized men want to be martyred and the women and children die with them. They see that as victory. Israel is making short term security gains that all but guarantee future terrorism on a massive scale.

Have we ever fought a war where it occurs to us that if we bomb them and kill them, that will just make them angry and cause their ranks to grow? When we dropped the A bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and when we firebombed Tokyo, did we hesitate because it might radicalize Japanese civilians?

When attacked in war, and you believe there is an existential threat, you fight to win.

Why do we hold Israel to a different standard?

I think 9/11 is a more apt comparison as they were single day attacks carried out by terrorist organizations with a tiny fraction of the military capabilities of those they attacked. Both conflicts intended to provoke. And our response was worse than Israel’s. Two wars, over 4 trillion spent, over 400,000 civilians killed. For what? Did we root out the “existential threat?” Of course not.

These folks that claim it’s raining are actually pissing on us. I’ll take a raincoat over the SPF 50!

Hamas and every other scumbag Muslim “brotherhood” has been doing this shit for years. They launch attacks on innocent people and then run and hide amongst and behind their women and children. If their god gives them 72 virgins for that then that belief system ( can’t call it a religion) needs serious eradication.

I hear you and share frustrations that so often, politicians fail to speak for me, or represent my values.

However, something my Dad taught me growing up... people suffered extraordinary hardship - even literally died - to ensure I had the freedom to live in a democracy with the right to vote.
I'd rather spoil my vote than not vote at all. As soon as we stop voting, a far more dangerous extreme kicks in - apathy will ultimately embolden those in power to take it away from us.

    Will never, not vote.

At some point voting for increasingly extreme parties achieves the same ends. I think this mindset of having to vote one of two extremes just continues to widen the divide. At some point there is no high ground.

I think the opposite - the more parties push to the extremes, the greater the pull to come back towards the centre by someone, even if it's an independent.

The Government change over here was 'left wing' but for all intents and purposes, it's a centre ground party at the moment. Why? Because the other centre party pushed too hard to the fringe to grab voters.

Like I say, if you have to, spoil your vote. But if we don't vote, we run the risk of people trying to take democracy away from us. There's enough of that already in the world. I appreciate those who died so I could have a voice.

Not to worry about Netanyahu, though. He'll be out (I hope) after his trial for corruption concludes any day now. It's only been going on for four years.

It is amazing to me that people still overlook almost 60 years or terror and cowardly attacks by radical Muslims and buy the bullshit that Hamas is spewing and our corrupt media reports as truth.

These scumbags lauch rocket attacks from population centers and then scurry like rats to hide among the women and children, and people like many here, blame this mess on Israel.

If Hamas surrendered their weapons this evening there would be peace and reconstruction starting tomorrow.

If Israel surrendered their weapons tonight there would be hundreds of 10/7 type attacks starting tomorrow.

That, people, is the reality that those siding with Hamas here need to understand.

Nobody should be 'siding' with Hamas.
Asking the Israeli operations to be more precise than simply accepting mass humanitarian casualties also isn't siding with Hamas.
I think that's what most people who have concern would be worried about.

Send in foot soldiers instead of just dropping bombs.
