Trump has a new story. A dramatic one. He claims that he was on a helicopter with (former) S.F. mayor Willie Brown and it had to make an emergency landing. It turns out that he was on a helicopter with governor Jerry Brown, and it DID NOT have to make an emergency landing, according to everyone else who was on the helicopter. The emergency landing was a fictitious tale cooked up in one of Trump's delusions. When he was on the helicopter ride, inspecting fire damage in California, he was extremely worried about the chopper crashing, even though no one else was. In his senile mind, this entitles him to tell stories about an emergency landing. He may be more senile than Biden. Good thing that Biden is not arrogant enough to run for president with his condition . . .

I hope Trump tells the story about all of the dangers he faced when he was an astronaut. That should lock up the election for him.

Microsoft says Iran sent phishing emails to "high ranking" member of Trump campaign...what kind of dolphin porn they sent JD?

somebody got in and is now sending internal campaign emails to Politico

We received internal Trump documents from ‘Robert.’ The campaign just confirmed it was hacked. (msn.com)

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign said Saturday that some of its internal communications had been hacked. The acknowledgment came after POLITICO began receiving emails from an anonymous account with documents from inside Trump’s operation.

The campaign blamed “foreign sources hostile to the United States,” citing a Microsoft report on Friday that Iranian hackers “sent a spear phishing email in June to a high-ranking official on a presidential campaign.” Microsoft did not identify the campaign targeted by the email and declined to comment Saturday. POLITICO has not independently verified the identity of the hacker or their motivation, and a Trump campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, declined to say if they had further information substantiating the campaigns’ suggestion that it was targeted by Iran.

“These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources hostile to the United States, intended to interfere with the 2024 election and sow chaos throughout our Democratic process,” Cheung said. “On Friday, a new report from Microsoft found that Iranian hackers broke into the account of a ‘high ranking official’ on the U.S. presidential campaign in June 2024, which coincides with the close timing of President Trump’s selection of a vice presidential nominee.”

On July 22, POLITICO began receiving emails from an anonymous account. Over the course of the past few weeks, the person — who used an AOL email account and identified themselves only as “Robert” — relayed what appeared to be internal communications from a senior Trump campaign official. A research dossier the campaign had apparently done on Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, which was dated Feb. 23, was included in the documents. The documents are authentic, according to two people familiar with them and granted anonymity to describe internal communications. One of the people described the dossier as a preliminary version of Vance’s vetting file.

If there is anything weird on unseemly, someone will publish.
Of course, if the Dems have any say and the file is super weird, they would not want it to be published to keep vance on the ticket

This would be an absolute bombshell headline story about any other president or presidential candidate. But because everyone on both sides is so used to Trump just being a giant bought and paid for shill, this CRAZY story doesn't even move the needle. Wild

Looks like the election is pretty much a done deal. Harris leads Trump in the battleground states by 4%, and she has momentum. Trump needs to take his name off the ticket and let Vance go down in flames by himself. This could be the worst defeat in a presidential race since Reagan spanked Mondale in 1984.

This is exactly what they spent 4 years trying to find on Joe/Hunter, but I'm going to out on a limb and guess Jim Jordan won't hold any hearings on this.

Wasn’t the DNC also hacked via phishing? They target individuals and it’s state sponsored so they probably have some intel to make it seem personal. Im guessing it’s a bit more sophisticated and real looking than the ridiculous spam phishing emails/texts most of us are accustomed to.

I've see some ridiculous phishing emails but also seen very sophisticated ones.
Pretty basic knowledge to not click on them, I would hope even more basic for campaign staff (R or D) not to.

Why does anyone hear the Trump campaign version of this story and believe it? Why does anyone not default to, "They are lying for their own purposes."

This looks to me like the opening salvo in their move to dump Vance from the ticket.

    More Trump campaign "dumbassery."

Trump loves to flat out steal musicians' songs for use at campaign events. He steals them because he is too cheap to pay for them and most artists would never allow him access to their music to begin with.

At a recent event in Montana he decided to rip off Celine Dion (who detests Trump) and played her performance of "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic.

Celine was obviously bothered by the theft and took to social media to assure her fans that the orange rapist's use of her song was unauthorized. She also questioned the campaign's decision to use a song from a movie about a sinking ship, highly descriptive of his campaign though it may be.... "...AND REALLY, THAT SONG?"

Now this, from trump’s spokesman is chuckle-worthy:

These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sourceshostile to the United States, intended to interfere with the2024 election and sow chaosthroughout our Democraticprocess,” Cheung said.

White supremacists, one of Trump's most loyal support groups, may be staying home in droves this election season. They object to J.D. Vance's selection of an Indian wife, and the fact they named their child "Vivek". Trump needs to change that child's name and use more orange skin toner and less brown. Changing the wife's name to "Karen" would also be helpful.

Vance on racial attacks against wife Usha: ‘Don’t attack my wife. She’s out of your league’

Vance demonstrates his level of shallow understanding of foreign relations with a statement defending Trump's tendency to fawn over communist dictators Putin and Xi.

Vance says ‘nothing wrong’ with Trump ‘complimenting’ leaders like Xi, Putin

Brennan noted that Trump's approach was different than "laying down the law" with the foreign leaders, and he responded with:
    What an idiot.
