Grasping for straws again? Walz played no part in the design of the new flag. And the actual designer stated the Somali flag was never an inspiration. Walz really must have gotten under your skin for you to have this level of desperation.
The solid white star that is a different shape repping the state nickname, the pastel colors that are completely different than the Somali colors that represent the state’s shape and its unofficial nickname as Land of 10000 Lakes? Man, you and Rogan have really nailed it.
Six posts in and already abandoning the flag BS? Must be a record! As for undocumented immigrants having driver's licenses, they are going to be driving. Better to have them licensed so we know they can drive. And so they can be insured. Minnesota is 1 of 19 states plus Puerto Rico that issues DLs to undocumented immigrants. Other states have lobby groups pushing them to issue as well.
You say they’re going to drive anyway so we might as well give them drivers licenses. However, if they fail the drivers test, won’t they just go ahead and drive anyway like they would have? Is there any country in the world that grants drivers licenses to people in their country without documentation?
Got 'em. Election is over, Walz loses. Clearly this is the key issue that will push undecideds into voting for Trump instead of Walz!1!!
Of course. But the ones who DO pass have gone through the licensure process and now also have to carry insurance or pay the UI fee (I assume MN has that option.) What is the downside?
D- for creativity, reason, and brain function “ 2023 Redesign Commission On March 22, 2022, two Democratic-Farmer-Labor members of the Minnesota House of Representatives, Mike Freiberg and Peter Fischer, introduced a bill to redesign the state's flag and seal. Fischer began supporting a flag redesign in 2017 after a group of high school students raised the issue to him.[21][23] The law outlines specific guidelines for the redesign, stipulating that the new designs "must accurately and respectfully reflect Minnesota's shared history, resources, and diverse cultural communities" and that symbols representing only a single community or person are prohibited.[21] It was proposed as part of a state budget bill and was opposed by Republican representatives, who viewed it as a low priority.[24][25] In May 2023, as a part of the annual state budget, the Minnesota Legislature established the State Emblems Redesign Commission, tasked with proposing new designs for Minnesota's flag and seal.[26] The legislation dictates that, barring any contrary legislation, the chosen flag design will be adopted as the state flag on May 11, 2024.[27] The committee has 13 members, including representatives of the Indian Affairs Council, the Council for Minnesotans of African Heritage, the Minnesota Council on Latino Affairs, and the Council on Asian-Pacific Minnesotans, along with three members of the general public appointed by Governor Tim Walz.[28] The committee held its first meeting on September 5.[29] In October 2023, the committee received public input to suggest flag designs. A total of 2,123 flag and 398 seal submissions were received.[30] Common themes included the state bird (the loon), lakes and rivers, and the North Star.[31] More diverse entries included a photograph of a dog, a photograph of a wooden floor, national flags and imitations of them such as those of the Soviet Union, psychedelic monkey drawings, and a design depicting a loon shooting lasers from its eyes similar to the Laser Kiwi flag proposed during the 2015–2016 New Zealand flag referendums.[32][33] Several entries were just unchanged images of the existing flag of Minnesota. On November 21, 2023, the commission met in the Minnesota Senate Building to review the selections.[34] Despite having planned to select five flag designs, the group chose six finalists.[35] All the finalists featured a star motif, the colors blue and white; none featured the loon, which the committee believed represented only part of Minnesota.[36] Herold attended the hearing, but his North Star Flag design was not a finalist.[37] On December 13, the number of flags was narrowed to three, F2100, F944, and F1953.[38]” Flag of Minnesota - Wikipedia
What's better? 100% of undocumented drivers unlicensed and uninsured? Or only the small percentage who can't pass the DL test? As you say, there's no downside to having undocumented immigrants pay for and get a license.
That's Biden's diaper you're smelling. And that communist, Walz, is just as bad and Kamala. How many times has he been to China? Why would anyone go there more than once or twice in a lifetime... unless they have legitimate business to attend to in that communist country? Does Walz have a business in China? Walz... a Somali pirate wannabe on the loose.
You just answered your own Q. To the thread - title is a lie, @okeechobee. Are you intent upon being a liar, or will you change the title?
So... that ENTIRE state is chock-full of commies, then. Got it... Sound to me like that ENTIRE state needs an INTERVENTION.
