You can ask trump all the questions you like but the answers are always the same talking points, never anything of substance just more "I am the greatest and they are the worst ever". Funniest part was him saying in reference to Hillary "people'" were saying lock her up and I could have done it because she was guilty, but I was very protective of her.

I couldn’t hear all of the questions in this press conference, but there’s one where he was asked about allies being concerned that he’s not taking the race seriously since he hasn’t gone to many swing states recently and he reacted to it by shaking his head and telling the reporter what a stupid question it was, so maybe? (I think the question of whether someone attempting to assassinate him with an AR-15 changed his opinions of whether people should have access to them was, at a minimum, not a friendly question.)
My read of today’s press conference is that his campaign can read polls. I thought Trump did a good/decent job of hitting on what moderates care about and staying relatively on script for the first five minutes (e.g, Walz’s stance on transgender juveniles, American energy, etc.). Then he turned into Trump and just went on weird rants. The most awkward portion, in my humble opinion, was when he was speaking on Biden’s behalf about how mean Nancy Pelosi and Obama were to Biden and how much it hurt Biden’s feelings.
Honestly, your question is a stupid question. Has he been facing any tough questions? He faced the media today. It was wide open for any question to be asked. If reporters didn't ask tough questions, it's not Trump's fault. But again, you're equivocating, because you're the one questioning the toughness of the questions without any basis.
