We're often warned not to make negative posts because the players and their families read this board. I sure hope they are reading now! We all are so excited for this team, think it's going to be a great season, and they are going to excel. Such a change from a year ago, when the vibe from some was pretty negative. All together now ..... "It's GREAT to be a FLORIDA GATOR!!"

72, you are a gentleman and a scholar to come out and admit that this was all your fault! JK! I had the same question when I opened Scrappy’s file.

Rick, if you’re 72 I’m going to guess that not only is your right arm shot but you’re legs are probably shot as well. And if not, probably would be after a couple innings in the bullpen! JK! I’m 66 and need a couple days to get rid of the soreness in my legs after a couple hours of yard work and pulling weeds!

Rick, let me translate this for Ocalaman. If Taylor doesn’t turn out to be the franchise player that you have led us to believe, we are coming for your ass, son! JK! Ocalaman, just trying to lighten things up a bit!

She really is very impressive. Even sounds like Skylar to me! You can hear her enthusiasm and love for the game of softball.

Who knows for sure but I can tell you that everyone I have spoken with, outside this board, who has a deep understanding of national travel ball says the exact same thing about her. And Jocey has been talking, about for a year now, on how she is basically counting the days until Taylor gets to campus and that day is almost here. And since she has a 12 year old sister, perhaps we can start this all over again in a couple years.

Legs are still pretty good although I can't run the way I used to....have two dogs that leads to a lot of walking all over the place and helps. Can't for the life of me throw a tennis ball to them overhand....hurts like crazy. Live in the mountains with heavily wooded property. Always a lot hard work upkeep....cutting down trees....fairly heavy work all over the place. I'm not rocking chair ready yet.

I should have blacked out the blond on the right. My bad.
What chaos ensued. It probably caused a few cardiology and therapist visits.
But, I am blaming tayshu, too. She posted the video.
Before anyone jumps on this post, my tongue is firmly in my cheek.

I do not know where else to post this, this is very informative. I believe UGA does something similar.

I played in a 50 year high school reunion flag football game about a year ago. Hadn’t tried to run full out in many years so I thought I was still quite capable. At our first practice I pulled my groin on one side, my hamstring on the other side and sprained both knees, running pass patterns full out. Somehow I played in the game and picked off a pass and limped around best I could. Rather depressing when I had been used to playing sports all my life. Now it’s pretty much just golf and hopefully a little tennis and pickle ball.

I saw a tweet from some unknown a day or so ago that applies to a whole bunch of people here, and it went like this: "So, you won gold at the Olympics?. My phone just congratulated me on standing up."

As we age, I believe it’s important to stay active every day, even for a little bit. It seems to help arthritis, joint aches and pains, and of course circulation, blood pressure and blood sugar. Of course not everyone can do this, those of us that can should feel fortunate. Like you, we recently moved to a fairly large property that my wife and I manage and I think it’s been good for us. It’s the humidity that pushes us to the limit. I check how much I’ve walked around here at the end of a day and it’s often as much as two miles (without dedicated walking for exercise)

Totally agree. I'm 72 and still do my own yard work - mowing with a walk behind gas mower, hedge trimming, string trimming, weeding, etc. Plus I walk 2 miles in our neighborhood every day. I feel stiff and just "off" on the days that I can't do my walking and have even been walking on these hot August days when the feels like temperature is over 100. Gotta keep moving at our age or we'll stiffen up and waste away.
