Somewhat .... no ..... profoundly absurd a leftie would denigrate the opinion/reporting of a right-leaning person when they are constantly polluting this message board with the mindless pablum of the leftist, MSM. That is the pinnacle of hypocrisy and pratness.

That is all you got? I didn't know Ron was running for anything at this time.

This entirely correlates with GatorBen’s old newspaper article. He made the statement but found out after that he couldn’t do both, so he made a choice.

Something else comes to mind regarding Meatball Ron. DeSantis was a JAG officer when he was deployed to Iraq. Among his duties was providing legal advice to the commander of a SEAL unit. I distinctly recall ads implying albeit not expressly stating that he was actively involved in the combat operations of the SEALs. While DeSantis didn't actually lie he was certainly deceptive.

I think you have a responsibility to bring yourself up to speed before taking exception to something someone points out that is completely factual.

Not sure what you mean, “that’s all I got.” I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy of politics. If you don’t see the hypocrisy of defending DeSantis’ appearing as a fighter pilot while crucifying Walz for hyperbole, then that’s in you.

I’ll say this, though: I guarantee you the Left would be screaming the same thing if they find something out about the other side.

Our 2 party system has at times devolved into who screams the loudest.

You should also add that of his service in Iraq was necessary, he could have been ordered to go regardless of his retirement papers. There is a specific military procedure for such instances where the retirement is belayed. He was obviously allowed to retire to serve in Congress.

Ok, I think you clearly did but whatevs. I really don’t like it when politicians make up stories about being in the shit, because it devalues the service of those men and women who truly are or were in the shit. And then when ranks are lied about, there’s simply no excuse and no self-respecting military man would excuse such a lie. Your rank was your rank and you should be proud of your rank. It’s not something to lie about.

Well, it’s not “whatevs”, because you negatively rated me for no reason and made a false accusation. When I make a mistake, I own up to it with no hesitation. You all have seen me do it here many times. I disagree with much of what you say, but I treat you and others with the respect I would want you to show me. I’m surprised by this, Okeechobee, because you know what kind of poster I am.

Since this seems to be the “say mean things” about Walz thread, I thought it was appropriate to post this which discusses this terrible guy’s teaching career.

Honestly, it is because I respect Ben and think that it is silly to try to play these games as he is doing. As such, I am pointing it out. Im not wasting my time dealing with the silly stuff from Okee or you.

    Did you ignore these passages?

"He has been previously deployed during his 23 years in the National Guard, including an eight month deployment during Operation Enduring Freedom." :emoji_thinking:

    - Doesn't check with the stolen valor take. Either people are FOS or your source is. Also:

"I have no plans to drop out of the race."

The piece doesn't detail when Walz submitted discharge paperwork, but obviously he was in the pipeline for gov work well before his unit was deployed. The dude served for 24 years. Pretty dumb and empty to be throwing shade, but "yay team."

They are known months in advance. Typically reserve units are preparing for months ahead of their mobilizations orders actually coming through. On my last trip to OIF in '07, my mobilization orders did not start until November of '06 but I committed to the deployment in May.

The question is when did Waltz become the SgtMaj of the unit? That is typically a position that if you take the job, it is expected that you are committing to it for at least two years and possibly longer if there is a deployment. If Waltz had already done two years as the Battalion SgtMaj and decided he did not want to commit to another 14+ months, that would be understandable.
