Yep, they will be blocking future nfl dlinemen. Hope they are up to task and stay healthy.

Simply put: put more points on the board than the D gives up.

Someone from his past thinks he should win with less to be considered a coach of accomplishment. I... like that he wants to get as much talent as possible. Who the freak wants a fair fight...

He's getting better at the acquisition part of his job. Much better...

Balance, creativity, passion and the will to win, especially in the 4th quarter. I haven't seen that "your not going to stop us" attitude in awhile.

Yes, the offense will have to play at a very high level to be successful. In 2023 execution was lacking on both sides of the ball. We need to consistently score, which means consistently executing the play called. The bottom line: the Gators need to stop beating themselves!!!

Great post! Our execution in all three phases of the game fell far below the Gator standard in 2023. I listened to a podcast (Gator Breakdown) and missed tackles was almost 25%. You can probably guess our abysmal ranking. ST was atrocious, and that's an understatement. On offense, we had too many three and outs; and too many plays where the OL was manhandled. I am expecting S&C will translate more to the OL pushing opposing defenses around, instead of vice versa. The key to the offensive performance will be the OL blocking well! We have the offensive talent. In 2024, the talent needs to produce points. I'm hoping Russ Calloway introduces an excitement to the offense that's been missing. Finally, I think the microphone communication will be ginormous and save needless timeouts. Go Gators!

The offense was very predictable. I have been watching the games from last year while recovering from a TKR. Numerous times we did not convert in the red zone, and the play calling lacked innovation!

THIS!!! We cannot see quarters with no scoring! The answer is to execute consistently, and the offensive mindset--to have a killer instinct!

Absolutely spot-on! There were several games we could have and should have won!

This gave me a chuckle, and reminded me of a certain DA running for President!

Missouri is the top of that list. A top 10 team on the road and we were better most of the game. We have to stop collapsing.

Sadly, the Gators have been their own worst enemy since Meyer, IMO.

In my estimation, Missouri is a solid team, but not really that good. We definitely are not far off of their level.

And stop playing for a FG when a TD will virtually ice the game.

We need a solid line. Looking downfield created so many sacks last year that ended drives and eventually Mertz’ season. Hopefully this year Mertz get better protection.

Yup. The talent is finally there at all skill positions. Now it's up to the line to make it happen.

To me, we had at least equal talent last year on offense but the line was awful.

Pearsall and Etienne are losses but Badger fills that experience role and Wilson said it himself that he was just running around last year. He's a net gain over himself last year. Hawkins probably becomes the equivalent of the super fast and talented freshman that becomes an x factor but not reliable. Don't know if Mizell is ready but he's a year older and more experienced. Jean is an unknown but obviously Jackson and Dike bring the same experience plus a year.

Tight end is way more experienced this year.

As long as Johnson stays healthy to lead the RB group talent isn't an issue although Etienne in my opinion hurts until we see which backs step up. We know someone will.

Mertz should be playing faster given a 2nd year in the offense.

I don't see how this offense shouldn't be significantly better than last year. The offensive line definitely handicapped the offense last year but the talent across the board is better this year regardless.

Edit to add... this is why I don't get the trepidation about our schedule and why as a Napier supporter, I also think he HAS to show it on the field this year. We competed in almost every game with a patchwork mess of a team. We are significantly better starting out this year. Dont care about the schedule. Good teams dont worry about having winning records. He built a good roster. Other years we were turning a blind eye to some massive issues. No excuses this year. Any real failure barring terrible injury luck will be on the coaching.
