is this the precursor to adding djt to the charge. from the article....how can MAGA not see the trail of broken people djt leaves in his wake? hard to feel sorry for them but damn that man has ruined a LOT of lives of fervent followers and the flock just keeps following. damndest thing I've ever seen. some very smart, otherwise rational people too .

Former Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis has agreed to cooperate with Arizona prosecutors in their 2020 election subversion case against aides to former President Trump and the state’s so-called fake electors.

Ellis previously faced nine felony counts including fraud, forgery and conspiracy, but in exchange for her cooperation, the charges were dismissed.

In a statement, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes called the agreement a “significant step forward” in the case.

“I am grateful to Ms. Ellis for her cooperation with our investigation and prosecution,” Mayes said. “Her insights are invaluable and will greatly aid the State in proving its case in court. As I stated when the initial charges were announced, I will not allow American democracy to be undermined — it is far too important. Today’s announcement is a win for the rule of law.”

Trump is believed to be having a "public nervous breakdown". He cannot seem to handle running against a woman that he cannot tag with a blatant insult for a nickname. His campaign is described (by a former Trump admin official) as in "meltdown".

As Trump fumes, Republicans wince at ‘public nervous breakdown’

Trump continues his attacks on republicans. This time, the governor of Georgia. The reason? Not supporting Trump's hostile takeover bid for the White House in 2020 after he lost the election.

Trump is back to attacking Republicans. You know, the people he needs to win in November.

J.D. Vance has a winning strategy: stalking and trolling Kamala Harris, following her wherever she goes. Sounds like a smart move . . . for an idiot. He could be the first V.P. candidate to get a restraining order issued against him. By the end of this campaign, I predict that Vance will try to revive the couch controversy to distract voters from all of his other humiliations . . .

Why JD Vance's plan to follow Kamala Harris and her VP pick on their swing-state tour is a big gamble

Trump is something else, but this video is the kind of awkward thing that politicians have been doing for centuries.

Arizona GJ wanted to indict djt, before Ellis flipped. Almost guaranteed to be added to the indictment now.

Arizona grand jurors discussed indicting Trump, but prosecutors urged them not to (msn.com)

PHOENIX — An Arizona grand jury that indicted 18 Donald Trump allies this spring for their role in efforts to overturn the 2020 election had expressed interest in possible charges against the former president, according to a legal motion filed this week by state prosecutors.

It is unclear how many of the jurors were in favor of indicting the former president, who by then had been federally charged for his attempts to subvert Joe Biden’s win in a case brought by special counsel Jack Smith. The interest prompted the Arizona case’s lead prosecutor to give a PowerPoint presentation and request that jurors not indict Trump, according to the motion.

Nicholas Klingerman, assistant attorney general for the Arizona attorney general’s criminal division, cited a rule about prosecuting someone for the same crime twice as well as a lack of evidence.

“That is why I have not recommended that in the draft indictment, despite clear indications from you all that there’s an interest in pursuing a charge against him,” Klingerman told the jurors.

Any indictment of djt only matters if he does not win in November. Otherwise he skates.

these are state charges, like Georgia, and likely Michigan too.

charges may be suspended while he is in office but that should also stop the time

'Two Potential Crimes' in Trump's Reported Egyptian Cash Scandal: Attorney (msn.com)

An August 2 Washington Post article claimed that Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi withdrew $10 million from a Cairo bank account to fund Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.

The money was allegedly withdrawn in giant duffel bags and given to an Egyptian spy agency to pass onto Trump's campaign after El-Sisi and Trump had a private meeting at the United Nations in September 2016. The article states that, as president, Trump released $1 billion in military aid to El-Sisi's government.

Former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance said on The CAFE Insider Podcast that there were potential crimes committed by Trump and El-Sisi if the allegations prove to be true. "There are two crimes, or at least two potential crimes that are going on there," Vance said.

"There are the Trump allegations that you are talking about; it is also illegal for the foreign leader, the president of Egypt, to try to make these kinds of donations to an American campaign," she said.

One explanation was that indicting Donald Trump would undoubtedly delay a trial given Trump's propensity for using every possible legal device as he did with every one of his other trials. Without Trump as a codefendant the prosecutors would have much more of a chance of actually trying and convicting the other defendants in a timely manner.

Just a guess but if the worst happens and Trump is actually elected one of his first acts after taking office would probably be pardoning Bob Menendez.

I wonder how much of an honorarium Bob would need to pay for that? Remember, its not a bribe if paid after the act.

and they wanted more evidence before indicting him. Now that at least two have pled guilty and agreed to cooperate, the knives may be getting sharpened
