You needlessly extended this discussion by responding to what was presented in an inappropriate way. I don't care that you started this thread. You don't get to decide what is posted here. You are good company 99.9% of the time, but in this discussion you're not. Apparently, you have built up hostilities to be calling me a "real jerk and Mr. Know-It All." If you aren't getting counseling for your troubles, I suggest you do so rather than taking your troubles out on the rest of us.
Mr. High & Mighty strikes again. Softball posters have historically been the most knowledgeable, passionate, respectful and civil-minded of all Gator fans on any thread in any message board. Very little confrontation or negativity. Disagreements, sure. All great. But you often come across with a picky, picky, superior-minded attitude that just rubs some of us the wrong way. I know this to be true because it's come up in private conversations among several of us and you've been called out about it before. In regards to this particular topic, I simply voiced an opinion then said we will see what happens when they report for class and you took me to task for that. I've had 3 "Agrees" with my statements so far. So get off your high horse. Post what you want and so will I.
Well whenever Shaw arrives, color me excited. Took a look at some her videos at training and this girls work effort is solid. Wallace would be proud of how hard she trains.

Let's just see who shows up on campus in a few days and then we'll know for sure. That's you deciding what is and isn't newsworthy. Nobody was having an argument until you showed up. I also didn't see you questioning any of the other people speculating on identity or questioning Scrappy for bringing the video in to start with. You can be sure I'll post whatever I want and, unlike you as a rule's violator, be within board rules.
I respect both of you as posters but this arguing is not good for this message board. Go to a private room kick each other's ass work out your problems and come back being the knowledgeable and entertaining posters that you are. Go Gators
I have been here since the spring of 1998 and have never blocked anyone. As I said above, ocala is and has been fine with me 99.9% of the time. The .01% is now. I have no need to block him. Apparently, he is the one who needs to use his blocker, built up animosity. If anyone wants to join ocala in blocking me have at it, no hard feelings. I don't know and don't care to know who ocala has been conniving with privately about me, but you folks doing it use your block buttons. Thank you.
I think, and I could be wrong trying to follow all of this, but it started with the need for a bullpen catcher. At least I think that was it. Which I have never understood since there has to be somebody on the bench that can catch a thrown ball. Nevertheless, I hereby volunteer. I will be 72 at the end of this month and I damn sure guarantee I can still do a fine job working in the bullpen. I might have to roll the ball back to the pitcher because my right arm is shot from far too many throws from shortstop but I can handle the rest.
Let's back up a minute @ETGator1. All this started with scrappy's post of an Instagram showing 6 girls with a caption saying they will be on campus in a few days. Cool & interesting. Multiple posts followed about who the 6th person is - Kylie Shaw, then Makenna Bellaire it seems, plus what does this mean? Has whoever it is reclassified from the 2025 class to 2024, then disagreement between you & GatorsOTK about whether the Instagram really means that person will be in the 2024 class or just on campus. My post, the #7615 that you refer to, simply says: "To me, this isn't worth arguing about or even speculating. Let's just see who shows up on campus in a few days and then we'll know for sure." How in the world can that be interpreted as me trying to tell anybody what is newsworthy or how or what anybody should post? My post was NOT a reply to you or anybody else. I was merely stating my opinion and rather than take a position on any of what others had posted, I was going to wait and see what happened in a few days. 5 people agreed with what I said. There was no intent to demean what anybody else posted, but you took it that way, replied directly to my post and started attacking me, reading into my short sentence things that I never said or intended to imply and calling my statement BS. I do admit that I lost my cool and got too personal with you and for that and to the members of this board I apologize. I've also removed my negatives from your posts as a token of goodwill. But you had no basis for attacking my statement, IMO. I never challenged anything anybody said about the issue until you first attacked me and then I defended myself against you. I've seen you do this many times before with other posters. You read negative things into their statements and then fire back at them. Anyway, I'm done with this exchange and agree with @Porschegator that our back & forth was bad for this really good thread and great board.
I guess I started all of this by asking who the player next to Taylor was in video. I always understood that these were the five coming in the incoming 2024 class. I’m sorry for getting the ruckus started.
You literally posted what it said in the video in that second post. The video Taylor posted might have 6 girls in it but it says nothing about all 6 of them being on campus in 12 days. I proved in my previous post that this has happened in the past with Lamar last year. You have posted the 2025 roster that does not include her but does the include the 5 girls in that class. That TikTok was made last fall,10/7/23, while on a campus visit where they would not have known if Makennna was cleared to reclassify or not yet(speculation on my part because I do not know). All evidence suggests she has not reclassified yet you insist that she has. I love when people state things as fact when they actually have no clue whatsoever whether they are right or not.
She is a very impressive young lady and I hope your hype about how great she is and will be translates into a fantastic freshman year. Can't wait to see how it all shakes out starting with fall practice.
Thanks Rick for this post. Great interview. It shows that Taylor is a well grounded young lady. She will be a great addition to the fabric which makes up this edition of the Florida Gator Softball Team, which IMO will be going all the way to the Title at OKC.
