Not at all. She has no intention of voting for Trump. She didn’t vote for him the last two elections, why should she start now? She’s considering Harris, but might end up going third-party again after she learns more about her.
He strikes me as basically a mid-western Tim Kaine. I don't think he actually moves the needle in either direction, which makes him about as consequential as all other VP candidates.

Perhaps they are able to take measures that reduce food waste. BTW - not all children in MN are taking advantage of free school meals. Minnesota schools are using an 'Offer vs Serve' preventing food waste

Billions wasted?? Doubling down, I see. You keep harping on the fact alternative program structures exist. But you seem unwilling to consider the numerous benefits of universal programs. Why is that? And acknowledging that crappy parents exist, this program ensures the child is fed and can learn.
According to Feeding America, 183,480 children in Minnesota are facing hunger, out of a total of 537,890 people. Newsflash - many parents don’t do a lick of parenting and have no business having children at all. Should we just let those kids go hungry during the summer because their parents are trash? Let them eat cake? and where are you getting this billions figure?
I haven’t weighed in. There is a lot to like about Walz in terms of his midwestern appeal, his down / home /folksy real America-ishness and his authenticity. That may be enough. My preference would have been for Shapiro. For the obvious reason of Pennsylvania, but also Shapiro would have been a centrist signal, and I think a lot of voters would prefer someone who they don’t see as ideological, and to an extent a candidate crosses partisan orthodoxy that is appealing to people. But instead they opted for a left vs right campaign. This brings back BLM riots back into the discussion (perhaps unfairly but nonetheless ). This brings “wokeness” back into the discussion. A pick of Shapiro would clearly position against pro Palestinian idiocy. The criticisms of Shapiro were all from the left, which are much less important in the general election. The criticisms of Walz are all from the right and position the ticket as ideologically left wing. But I guess we will see how it plays out.
I think what was decided is that the majority of people have made up their minds and the VP choice will not sway a material change in vote. But, I believe the thinking was that a strong, likable Democrat would go a long way to energize the Party, and more importantly, drive voter turnout. Because the one thing the last two election cycles have taught us is that the voter turnout is more important than the published polls. If the Democrats turnout in Obama-like voting numbers, they win. If they turn out in Hilary numbers, they lose.
Who said anything about that? Thr whole 8 month abortion thing is a complete red herring. Only the most militant abortionists support that. Almost all abortions at thst stage, and they are relatively rare are due to severe health issues of the fetus or the mother.
Aside from the obvious bs in the “billions wasted” made up number, even the idea it would cause massive food waste seems an odd assumption. Let’s say you have a school with 2000 students and 500 on school lunch. There might still be 1000 or 1500 kids getting lunch in total at that school (so let’s say 500 “free” lunches and 1000 “paid” lunches). There will always be kids that bring their own even if it’s offered no charge. Let’s say 500 kids brown bag for simplicity sake. Making school lunch included doesn’t mean the school will just produce all 2000 lunches and have 500 go to waste. It would still be rational for the school to try and match supply and demand (and if they failed to do that, it’s just wasting their own budget). I don’t see why it would necessarily increase food waste at all, at least not “massively”. Maybe at first they’d need to figure out how many additional kids that didn’t eat paid lunch would opt to eat “free” lunch, maybe kids need choices so they can choose what components of a meal they want. Over the long term the number should be more predictable.
OMG you’re totally right. JD Vance has been the nominee for several weeks, but he has waited and has had no plans of his own until he saw what Harris and Walz were doing. Then, he copied them. Brilliant!
You say this while admitting in a prior post that Trump is correctly ranked as the worst President in our country’s history. If you’re being honest you were never voting for the Democratic nominee.
