Yesterday I had the pleasure of hearing Patric Young speak at a function. What an amazing person. His attitude and his faith was inspiring to the entire audience. He got a standing ovation after he finished. I'm looking forward to reading his book.
Periodically, he posts to twitter that he has some books he'll sign for people. I messaged him a few months back. He responded almost immediately. I paid him via venmo and had the book in the mail in about a week, signed with a nice personalized message. I'm pretty sure he didn't charge anything for the signature. He's a super great guy.
My wife sees him periodically at her place of work. Nothing but good things to say about him. She told him about my favorite pic of him sometime last year or so and asked her to send it to him... From one of our Tourney runs.
I’ve said it here before… I think about Patric very often since his accident. In the bigger picture, I really have developed the mindset that no matter how bad you think you have it, someone out there would love to trade positions with you. He’s indirectly added a lot of optimism to my life. I’m just more appreciative of the things I can do vs what I can’t do.
