the flooding I talked about earlier has moved north and east now. North Florida and up, crazy numbers here if it comes to pass.

By that model I'd get about 9". We are already saturated here in Clay Co. Thank God I don't live in a flood plain. The folks along the rivers/creeks are probably pretty stressed out right now.

My uncle on the north fork of Black Creek is sweating it. Lots of rain in Naples but no problems in our area

Love your films, but please leave my home in Tampa alone. o_O
And spare Gainesville too...they've suffered enough.

We had one single storm squall at about 12:21 this afternoon and that was it, here in Central Florida. Wind looked like it was blowing at about 40 to 45 mph... it lasted for about 20 minutes and then just the usual rain.

Now it's calm, but we might get more of Debbie's inclement weather later on.

Funny that they are talking “historic rainfalls”, Ian dumped upwards of 40” in some areas.

Lots of wind here in Tampa now. The river is up a few feet but looks like it won’t get over the seawall.

Isn’t there a bit more a risk as the storm moves N of Tampa due to the flow turning onshore as opposed to being offshore initially?

Harvey in Texas was the worst. Houston had over 50" and others got over 60"

There's been quite a bit of tornadic activity for 12 hours now here, even with the center being way offshore and still rated as a trop storm. May be driving the boat to work today.
Hoping everyone north of us stays safe and Debby gets her butt moving away.

Indeed. The ultimate water level will be determined by some interplay of wind speed, wind direction, and timing of the tides. It is near the relative high tide now (+2). Water is up a few more inches, but I’ve still got a few feet to spare. Global high tide later in the afternoon will be a foot higher, but I’m thinking the winds won’t be more extreme, so the worst case is another foot of water, though probably less. The neighbors across the river would likely get some water at their door if we did get a full another foot.

Stay safe. Hopefully power gets restored or you have a generator so your fridge/freezer items aren't all lost

Looks like landfall is about Steinhatchee?
