It's just half-court pick-up ball, the way we played it in Florida. If you had 6 guys, it was 3 on 3. If you had 4 guys, it was 2 on 2. If you had 8 guys, 4 on 4. No matter, each game went to 21, or to 15 or 11, depending on how much time you had. Every shot counted for 1 point, whether you shot it from 2 feet or 35 feet. There was no such thing as foul shots, and lots of times no such thing as fouls ('cause too many times there's a jackass that thinks nothing is a foul). Sometimes it was "make it, take it," but not usually.

Jimmer could barely walk out for introductions, wonder why they don't allow a 5th player for emergencies.

Barry beats the pants off of France.
He scored 15 of the teams' 21 total.

Nothing finer than Barry beating China.
Another 14 points he scores out of 21.
The 3X3 team is on a roll now.

Most of the time that I played at Florida Gym it was 5x5 full court.

In the summer there was a 3x3 intramural championship IIRC. My side made the semis one year. Came really close to the Finals. It was best two of three and IIRC we were the only team to win a game against the eventual winners.

Canyon should go by the Odome and show our guys how to shoot foul shots.

Unless I misunderstand the pool play, it looks like Canyon and the USA are still in contention for a medal.
Any word on whether Jimmer will return? They need his shooting.

The combo of Canyon and Cheese that carried the Gators to the Elite Eight only started one game between them that year. Now, that’s what I call coaching.

If it's allowed (by the NBA), I would think some NBA guys who aren't on the "real" USA Olympic team would want to team up in the next Olympics and see if they could win an Olympic medal.

I bet JJ Redick is still in good enough shape that he could have taken 3 of his remaining Lakers players and won the thing.

Kind of hard for NBA players to be on the 3x3 team because qualifying events are between November and June.

Still have to play the Dutch and if in the top 6 they will have a play-in game if I understand the rules correctly. Right now they are 5th in their pool with tie breaks. So if they lose a close game they might get in.

Would a win be regarded as a double Dutch treat?

The Netherlands held off France (whom Barry beat single-handedly) for the GOLD.
The Lithuanians get the bronze by beating Latvia.
