SmootyGator's Pick'Em - Season 2

It is just 4 weeks (and a day!) until the first full Saturday of College Football! I'm happy to announce that I will be running the Pick'Em contest again. I hope those of you that played last season will play again, and I hope to see a few new faces this time. I will be posting the official rules thread in a couple of weeks. Everything will pretty much be the same, but there will be one major change that deals with the playoffs.

I was thinking of starting a week earlier and including week 0, but there just isn't enough games; so again, we'll be starting Week 1. There will be 14 weeks of "regular season", then we'll have the bowl game week, which will be weighted more with picks (10) available for higher scoring. So up to that point, everything will be just as it was last year. This year however, we'll have the "Playoff Picks" week as the final "week" of scoring. I've been kicking around a few ideas on how to score that, and I think I've finally made up my mind (details later).

I'll probably cap it at 50 players this year, but I doubt it will get to that number. If you fully participated last year, you will be guaranteed a spot. I hope everyone that played last year will do so again. It was pretty competitive the whole way through and I know I had lots of fun with it!

Here's a quick timeline of things to come:
2 weeks from now, I'll make a post with all the rules and include the new playoff scoring system
3 weeks from now, which will be about a week before the season starts, I'll post the first official Week 1 thread. Everyone will need to make their picks for Week 1 to be "officially" in for the season. So if you played last year and want to do so again, all you have to do is make picks week 1.
Once we get rolling the weekly timelines will be similar to last year.
