Reported today that Montrell had his knee scoped and likely misses up to 6 weeks with a chance of 3-4 weeks. The “guess” by report is that he is more likely than not to miss the Miami game. This totally sucks.
I understand he's expected back on the practice field, in some capacity, in 2-weeks. Could change depending on testing and/or recovery.
Orthopedic surgeons doing too much. They should at least specify what the injury was you don’t just scope knees for no reason
I suspect they had a very good reason for scoping MJ's knee. To what extent they scoped, it may have a bearing on his recovery. The good news: he's young, in great physical shape, and has stellar rehabilitation facilities. Go Gators!!!
The severity of the injury is none of our business and doing a scope is to determine the severity of the injury.
Hope he is back before Miami to get back into the swing of things before the game. We need him 100% for that game.
Have no idea about him, and while I'm not a surgeon, I've been a PT (UF '92) for 32 years now, and I've had 4 'scopes, 2 on each knee. I'm sure an MRI was done, but MRI is not foolproof. On my 2nd 'scope, the actual surgical findings were wildly different from what the radiology report stated. IOW, a surgeon's eye is the best 'scope in the business. Let's let time tell us if the surgeon did too much.
