I suppose you could imagine that if you ignored that UF had a much better OL for rushing than pass pro. But you do you.

We have a second year quarterback with a 72% comp rate, who is focused on being more aggressive, a great WR and TE room, an offensive coordinator who's offenses were air raid type systems, thus we will not be a run first type offense. We will be 50/50 which is what Billy has always wanted. We will be airing out the ball, and we should see some fireworks.

I think the perception of being run heavy has a lot to do with a tendency to go into a shell when we get a lead. I like the 50%-50% balance though. If it went to 52%-48% due to more success downfield, I'd like it even more. However, whatever wins ballgames and accelerates the return to relevance will be just fine.

Maybe you were being rhetorical in the question, as in CBN is the only real OC, but Russ Calloway is who he meant, if not rhetorical.

Man, my orange and blue goggles are starting to prevail....Perhaps Slaughter belongs on my "maybe" list, too?

I love a good air-raid offense... I'm not the one that doesn't like it passing the ball for hundreds of yards per game... I just happen to read all these articles from several sites that keep telling us that Napier is a run first type coach.

Maybe we should stop reading these haters? I'm good with that. I mean, if they can't get Napier's preferred style of offense right, then they are simply misrepresenting him in their hatful articles.

Furthermore, I'm a fun-n-gun, SOS style of offense enthusiast football fan.

So... if Napier is that air it out kind of coach, then I will be delighted to see what kind of offense we have in Mertz's second year as a starter... especially with all those speedy receives on this team.

In the end, it will be Napier calling the shots/plays not the TE's coach. :D;)

And I will be looking forward to more long ball passes in Gainesville.
