haven’t swarmed since Muschamp was here. We have had too many darn athletes to have been as clueless as we’ve been defensively this decade. I can’t recall the last great game we’ve played defensively against an above average offense
Yeah Mac had a couple great defenses before the muschamp talent started thinning out. Those offense were ranked in the 90s and 100s. Wasted championship level defenses. It wasn't until Mullen came along that the offensive and defensive rankings began to flip and eventually do a 180 where our defenses were in the bottom quarter of the country.
I really hope he doesn't have a Bo Nix type year at FSU. If he does, and they win 9 or 10 games, Norvell is probably going to get whatever QB he wants indefinitely. Fortunately he also would probably get poached by and SEC or B1G team within 5 years. But I really hope DJ sucks at FSU.
He had over 1500 words without misspeaking at ACC media days. Also really showed his ability to adapt and mobility walking to the stage and answering those questions. Really an impressive performance. But seriously I'm worried about this guy week 1. We're gonna need to get turnovers and keep him off the field. If he gets his feet under him and gets comfortable it might be a long day.
